  1. No. The IHSAA cannot stop a kid from participating in a camp during moratorium.
  2. They can't block the transfer. They only control the athletics. With limited eligibility he can participate in everything except a varsity game. Meanwhile his former teammates who transferred to Reitz will be allowed to suit up every Friday night. So glad the IHSAA is all about protecting the kids.
  3. Give us evidence of "private training" being the secret sauce of P/P success. That is silly in the context of football. Tennis maybe. Coach Ralph is known for a tremendous S&C program. Are you saying all the kids do private training?
  4. So the success is because of private training? Is that why New Pal had so much success a few years ago?
  5. The talent pool may be shifting, if you will. Central is in some measure of turmoil as several kids have jumped to Reitz, along a player or two from other EVSC schools (all purely for academic reasons, mind you). As a result, Reitz will be much improved. Of the 5 EVSC programs, Reitz and North will be the best, while Central, Bosse and Harrison will struggle.
  6. I don't disagree with that. Well heck, none of those schools play football...
  7. IMO, football blew past basketball in popularity many years ago.
  8. Well, if the game is at Castle, sitting on the home side is a pretty good deal because after their band plays at halftime the crowd really clears out. Did Herdes leave Central or just quit football? I heard a while back he quit football.
  9. I will wear a Castle hat for 1 week and an MD hat for another if Rode gets cleared.
  10. @TigerFan20 - I vaguely remember hearing about a named Das Johnson, maybe even a relative of RB3? I believe he is a frosh or soph. Does he play football?
  11. I agree 100% HHF. The smell permeates nearly every level of sport.
  12. If he had tried to transfer to Memorial or MD I suspect it would be an entirely different story.
  13. Pretty amazing story here. Kid tore an ACL at the beginning of junior year and missed the entire football season. Came back this year and was easily the most explosive player in SW Indiana. Actually kept Memorial in the semi-state game with Mt. Vernon Fortville until he injured his shoulder in the 3rd Q. Hearing he's getting interest at the next level for track.
  14. Might throw Ev. North into this category. They have some good young coaches and seem to be getting kids participating at a level not seen since the move out to Highway 41.
  15. Yes. That is incredibly cool. Thanks for the comment @kingtut!!!
  16. Nah, Memorial lost in the Sectional final in 2020 to Ev. Central. We lose a bunch to graduation too.
  17. Down in SW IN we love getting our news, medical advice, research, recipes, etc. from Facebook. It's really a one-stop shop, like Wal-Mart or Rural King. Rory needs to be working on an NIL deal with "Mane & Tail" to keep that flow flowing.
  18. No. North's only real "rival" is Central and in recent years it has become a social media sh!tshow.
  19. I would put GS as an early favorite to come out of the South in 3A. Lost a some great players but have a lot of very good players returning.
  20. LOL. No surprises in our sectional. Did you notice your buddy from the Y finally acknowledged a secular path is easier?
