  1. I would bet the vast majority of our fans don't even understand the whole SF thing. My desire to go back to 3A is really more a function of wanting to see different teams in the Sectional instead of the same teams we play in August and September. The closed SIAC gets redundant. Plus, it's fun to play teams like Chatard every once in a while.
  2. Memorial had a much better OL/DL last year and could not do much of anything on O or stop EC on D. EC was up 28-0 at the half. We blocked a FG and returned it for a TD in the 4th Q to give Enlow some life, then had 2 more late scores to make it a respectable 35-21, but we were never really in the game. I suspect with the injuries we've had, it is likely we come up short in the sectional and find ourselves back in 3A next year, which is fine with me. From what I've seen, Reitz would have to play almost flawlessly to have any chance, unless EC just laid an egg. You ordinarily don't see defending state champs lay an egg. Reitz hasn't played an opponent like EC in a long time. And, I suspect Reitz won't be seriously challenged until Regional, so the challenge for them will be taking on a team like EC (who will punch you in the face) and playing #discplined ball for 4 Qs. It would be worth a drive to see that game though - at the Bowl, not through KY and OH to St. Leon...
  3. Anybody can have a bad game and lose. Heck, look no further than undefeated Reitz getting upset by Boonville last year. I think Memorial will have a tough time against Reitz, in conference and tournament. Losing starting QB and RB is tough to overcome. Maybe Jasper can challenge then in Sectional? EC is another animal though. Huge roster, lots of size and speed, likely Mr Football, defending state winner.
  4. Probably true
  5. I think he'll get a chance to compete for the starting spot next year if Fisher decides not to play football, but he'll be a back-up this year.
  6. I'll take MD to upset North this week.
  7. It was the regional championship. HH was 8-3 and we were 10-2. It was the first meeting in 5 years between the two schools. It poured from the time I left Evansville until I got home. Final score was 6-3 Memorial and it was a sloppy mess of a game. Neither team could do much of anything.
  8. I think Memorial may use more than 1 QB and also more wildcat formations than in previous week. Should be interesting.
  9. I thought it was pretty funny myself..
  10. That is an incredible record. How many of those 74 losses were regular season? I know we sure had some epic battles with HH during his time there. I always enjoyed making that drive and seeing a game in the Jungle, expect in 2008 when it was played in a monsoon...
  11. I would agree. I count only 11 regular season losses from '94-'11. What is the number for his entire career? HH was definitely the PAC top dog for 20+ years.
  12. Looked to me #6 got injured. Assuming he is out or just limited, #5 will get more touches on O. I still expect him to play D too.
  13. Until this week he was needed more at D End. Now he'll be needed at D End and RB. Great opportunity for him.
  14. Memorial won't win by 41... It will be a dogfight.. MD will give the JCats a scare...
  15. LOL. Gotta keep an eye on those GS guys...
  16. Which is, of course, the opposite of In Sync, which is why the Patriots said "Bye, Bye, Bye".
  17. Vera has to be the clear front-runner, with Wagner having a small outside shot. Harris is a great player too, but doesn't stand out like Vera. Memorial's best player has been Broshears, but no D player is ever going to get that kind of award.
  18. I agree. VL is tough at home. Can Hunt give Castle problems like Wagner did in Wk. 3? MD is getting better every week so I think they will give Jasper a run for their money. Reitz can pick the score against Central. Memorial should be able to take of their business against Harrison, but injuries could be an issue. It would not surprise me to see Bosse give North some problems, but the Bulldogs just give up too many points (50+/game in their 3 Ls) to beat most teams.
  19. I can only speak to the game I saw, which was against us on the Wk. 2 night when it was blistering hot. I thought our kids out-toughed North across the board. With the size and experience advantage North had against us up front, I really was expecting them to pound the ball against us, but they only had a little over 100 yards. The glaring issue I saw when they did not have success running the ball was a lack of a passing game (60yds total). North has 5 winnable games left, but each of the next 4 could be battles too (Bosse, MD, VL, Jasper). No matter what happens, the Sectional should be wide open..
  20. Never mind. I saw the issue in other thread
  21. A few injuries for Memorial will make the Harrison game closer than most might expect. Tiger D is their strength at this point.
  22. I predict with 2 or 3 wins in regular season MD wins Sectional 40.
  23. Did you read the snippet I posted from a judge's decision overruling the IHSAA? He talks about the inherent unfairness of the IHSAA review process. I can't post every case I've read as part of helping representing a kid in one of these cases, and if I did it wouldn't change your mind anyway. We can just agree to disagree and hope our child or grandchild isn't one of the ones who gets screwed like Indiana Creek and the IHSAA screwed this young man.
  24. LOL. I say its on you. Here is where you can start: https://public.courts.in.gov/Portal/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=https%3a%2f%2fpublic.courts.in.gov%2fmycase%2f#/SCP Do a party search for Indiana High School Athletic Association.
