  1. LOL. Have seen a lot of film. Best team we've faced since Chatard 2008 or West Lafayette 2018. And they have much more depth than us.
  2. I'm not buying Harrell's prediction of Memorial (-1). EC is a school of 1,225 with a football tradition unlike anything we see in the SIAC. Laying at home will help, but I'm not sure it's enough. We'll need some magic.
  3. I had a feeling MD would pick Friday to avoid an early Saturday time. MD may have wanted an earlier start Friday so they can get home before 2am.
  4. Did you see the fake punt in the 4th Q against Martinsville?
  5. LOL. Sorry, but it was too darn cold for old bones to get on the phone...
  6. In 2017 the orange Tigers rolled into Evansville as 2016 state runners up and went home after Memorial hung 56 on them and had 300 yds passing in the first half. They've been here before...
  7. I'll give credit to the crew we had last night at Northview. At one point when it was becoming clear Memorial was controlling the game and frustrating the Knights, things began to get chippy. Quick offsetting unsportsmanlike-like conduct penalties pulled things back into check for the most part.
  8. In lop-sided games, the sooner it ends the better to reduce the chances of incidents like what took place last night between FW Wayne and Mississinewa.
  9. Not counting the 90 +/- drive at the end against the JV, I'm pretty sure it was less than 100 total yards O for Northview.
  10. Here is the question... Will @Lysander make a trip south to watch his EC Trojans on Saturday in the friendly confines of Enlow Field? I'm doing chili and dogs, so plenty of food (and liquids) will be available. I just wish EC had picked Friday night....
  11. Well done. Would have loved to have seen the Alice's win, but but definitely kept it closer than many would have expected.
  12. Uggg.. long drive home... great crowd, facility, and the NV band burger is pretty darn good. The difference was the Tigers' D, which never really let the Knights get anything going. Haven't seen any stats yet, but held Cherry in check and kept pressure on the QB. Northview has a darn good team that was much improved over recent teams we faced and certainly have raised the bar for future teams.
  13. The Castle game was more of a fluke than Jasper IMO. Jasper beat us. We beat ourselves at Castle with muffed punts & KOs.
  14. Can HH raise the ghosts of 2014 and pull the upset? ? ? No. GS rolls 48 - 14.
  15. It's going to be a 4 quarter battle in Brazil. Memorial has to be ready from the opening kick after 2 weeks of lopsided wins. Northview has momentum, the "disrespected" chip on their shoulder, and will be in front of a huge home crowd as they seek their 1st Sectional title. Memorial will be at full strength for the 1st time, and I like that our kids have played in a game like this before. I'll take Memorial 34 - 23.
  16. Gonna keep it in the family and go with the Wildcats to get their 23rd Sectional title by a comfortable 35 - 17 score.
  17. As explained to me, the "neutrality" requirement comes from the fact that the IHSAA puts on the tournament and is paying the host school for the various integral workers - clock, PA, etc. All I know is if Northview's PA guy throws out a Ric Flair, then I'm going to my van for my tiger, Antonio.
  18. Saw a tweet from Northview AD that the game will NOT be streamed.
  19. How does that matter Bobref? Restriction #5 is the one that creates issues. As I understand it, during the regular season a PA announcer can cater to the home crowd, but in the tournament the facility is supposed to be "neutral". We had an opposing coach complain during the regular season about our PA announcer doing a Ric Flair "woooo", which is silly IMO.
  20. If HH can run the flexbone and eat clock, it might be smart to take the ball to start and try to matriculate slowly...
