Years ago, Luers went on the road to play Winamac in the playoffs and many of the store signs in town had "Hook the Lures" on them.

Lots of respect to HH and any team that makes it to the Championship level. Respect what a team can do to you or they definately will do it to you. Been around these forums back when it was akin to the wild west.

The Indystar preview of the game spends most of their podcast telling us about HH and how good they are. Very little time spent talking about Luers. I remember this type of talk back in 2000, when people were saying that Luers was the best in any class, people in the south don't understand the level of talent up north, etc. Along comes a team from Evansville and took Luers to the woodshed 56-10. They brought the Mother of God and all Luers brought was a dead bishop. Respect what a team can do to you or the WILL do it to you. Four quarters of the best Luers football. Luers needs to stay focused.

All Luers can do is play 4 quarters of the best football they have got in them. They must make HH beat them. Watching from afar, sometimes it looks like the Knights have a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde personality. Luers must not beat themselves. Very proud of Luers for reaching the title game. I hope the Knights can keep up with HH.

I have been Lurking about from the Charleston SC area. It was easier to comment on the Knights and the season in general when I was walking the Luers hallways everyday. The High School football is very good here, but it just doesn't feel the same. Y'all kick your shoes off and sit a spell.

I guess seeing "3A" gives me a litle extra smile. Luers was one of the top eight teams left in 3A with a sectional win. It all depends on how you look at it.

According to the Ihsaa web site, Luers won a 3A sectional in 2014, 2017, 2018.
