  1. I want to know when Temptation trolls into this thread. He said 9 victories by IU will convince him that IU and Cignetti are for real.
  2. Eh, I wouldn’t call that a brutal schedule, just reality. Rutgers is quite a bit better than the Boilers
  3. Their best chance to get that 3rd win is at Northwestern. I really don’t see another possible won on their schedule…
  4. My thoughts are that IU is a much better team than Iowa. I am giving Iowa some credit as it is tough to play at Kinnick stadium. Unless IU has 4+ turnovers and craps the bed, I just don’t see Iowa hanging with them. Honestly, I think Illinois will prove to be a better team with a better record than Iowa, but time will the story
  5. Many Purdue fans are happy with Odom and like the direction they are going
  6. Some things to think about as Indiana visits Iowa: 1. IU’s first road game this year. Always a different dynamic playing on the road with 70,000 fans against you. 2. How does Mendoza play? Surely, he can’t continue at the pace he is going, but even if he is pretty good, that should be good enough with all the talent around him. 3. Is the running game sustainable? For me, it all starts up front with the big boys. I think they are for real so while they may not run for 300 yards every week, they are solid in the trenches. 4. Is the defense really that good? They dominated a veteran Illini team with a seasoned QB. Again, it starts with the big boys, and did they put on a show. QB pressure kills and I don’t think the Hawkeyes have the answer. Bottom line, I see the Hoosiers taking control in the 3rd quarter and winning going away. IU wins 38-17
  7. So the line is Indiana is favored by 7.5, which seems low to me
  8. Yeah, only need 40+ more college level players to get to that level…
  9. Maybe Frankfort should consider changing from the hot dogs to the bratwurst…
  10. Where is your reality check? The Brickies haven’t been relevant since the 80’s and now they are a state title contender? The chances of all 5 of the teams you mention making semi-state, New Pal not getting out sectionals, and Concord tanking are zilch.
  11. I really believe IU is winning at either Penn State or Oregon. Injuries always have a lot to say about how you play, but IU is much better than last year, and damn, they were pretty good last year.
  12. Smokin the crack pipe does some crazy things…..🔥
  13. Not this 💩💩💩 again…. 45 D1 players on the roster, we know….
  14. IU is better than last year by a significant amount. That defense is nasty, puts pressure on the QB, and are ball hawks. This easily could be 70-10 as they dropped 2 pick 6’s. Just freaking dominant football. As great as Rourke was, Mendoza is a step above, probable top 5 picks in the NFL draft, 39-43 over the last 2 weeks, 14td’s 0 interceptions so far this year
  15. Indiana up 28-7 midway thru the 2nd quarter. Illinois has no answer for the Hoosier offense and outside of a busted coverage, no answer for the Hoosier defense
  16. Never do I prop up North Side. I am probably the loudest and most critical critic of that program on here. Yes, I did pick North to beat Luers based on Snider shutting out Luers last week. We all know how poor the Panthers are this year
  17. Where is North Side being a threat in 5A that you called? Losing to Luers, who got shutout by Snider last week, and giving up 31 points an anemic Luers offense is not good Dwenger is not a threat with that offense. East Noble giving up 40 points is not a good sign to a Leo team you say is not a threat. Mishawaka is the favorite to come out of the North As stated previously, EN and Warsaw beating Snider becomes more irrelevant by the week. Without the botched punt by Carroll, it would have been 40-0 with a running clock in the 3rd quarter. Warsaw is irrelevant come tourney time Warren Central would beat Concord
  18. Snider is putrid this year. No other word to use. I agree, Carroll would beat EN rather handily. Doubling down, Dwenger or East Noble will not be the North representative at State
  19. Nah, still kicking. East Noble beating Snider means less and less by the week. I would expect EN to beat Leo at home, where it gets interesting is if they play in sectionals at Leo, what happens? As far as Dwenger goes, defensive TD so where is the offense? If they don’t get an offensive TD that would 3 weeks out of 5 weeks of no offensive TD’s
  20. Snider 7 - Carroll 7 , Carroll goes to punt and hikes it over the punters head and Snider picks it up and takes it in
  21. Luers 7 - North Side 0
  22. Carroll 7 - Snider 0, Chargers drive 80 yards rather easily for a TD
  23. Post em here
  24. Where is the offense from these pretty good teams? I say it doesn’t exist unless they are playing Concordia, Wayne, or South Side.
  25. The line for the IU/Illinois game started at -4.5 went to -3.5 and now has jumped to -6.5. Just interesting to see how it has fluctuated
