  1. Probably easier than having someone stationed at the school during the week to sell them. Also, it seems to go quicker for us. You just show them the ticket and move through. Some have you scan them but it's still fast. No need to make change either. 😄 I prefer the cash option myself but I imagine that one or more of the reason's above is why. I'm sure they have to pay for the service though so they probably don't get the full amount per ticket.
  2. Parker Elmore is an athletic QB. Lane Kirchner is a really good WR/CB. Lane played on our 7v7 a couple years ago and was a big play maker. Not sure about their line but if they can get some time I'm sure those two can make things happen.
  3. All conference games will be played this week! BS vs. THNV CN vs. SP BN vs. THSV
  4. East has not scored a TD the past 3 years. The six points East scored last year was two field goals. Our JV defense were playing and they could not score on us. Our JV won 20-0 so it's going to be a long few years. In the freshman game, East won 14-0 so there may be a little light at the end of the tunnel. However, taking multiple beat downs like that for a few years can make kids and family question their allegiance to a program.
  5. I never once mentioned 6A in the post you are referring to. I only said our schedule is tougher, and it is. There are scouts at nearly every game because of the level of kids we are playing. Look at our schedule and compare it to East's schedule. HHC is weak as water, so what if you are the top of that conference (and East isn't anymore)? Southport is 6A but far from the level of competition of other schools on our schedule. Sounds like you are still stuck in the glory days. Napoleon Dynamite wants his steak back uncle Rico. But if you would like to go to the way back machine, I do believe the Bulldogs beat the East 2017 state championship team. 😄 Kate is awesome! She's helped my kid get back on track several times. She's helped countless others. North has always had excellent trainer's since we have been there.
  6. That is odd to do it so late in the game. Sectional/Regional changes for wrestling came out yesterday but that season is still a few months away.
  7. Volleyball is pretty heavy in East's favor. I think baseball is pretty well split from time to time. Probably depends on groups of kids that have grown up playing together?
  8. Those guys played like 10+ years ago. It's kind of like a pendulum as far as the talent going back and forth. The past 5 years has been pretty strong in North's favor. As mentioned above, East most likely got the better recruiting class for 2027 and seems that the same will go for 2028 from what I hear.
  9. Bloomington North Jennings County CAL Columbus North Seymour Terre Haute South
  10. I believe that you are right in that there isn't the population in Columbus to support two great teams. There will be waves of good players back and forth from each school. You will recognize some "Johnny's and Joe's" from North's squad for the next few years. They have some young studs that are already getting college offers. Many of them have been playing together in 7v7 and going to showcases for several years now. Something else that North has and East doesn't is a schedule with tougher opponents. North kids have the opportunity to play bigger games with more scouts. I'll have to get the number from a friend of mine but the amount of North kids that have gone on to play football in college is definitely lopsided compared to the school from across town. That is another attraction point for athletes that are interested in playing at the next level.
  11. I do like that there is the ability of adding on two more non-conference games to bolster the schedule. CN has Chatard and Roncalli on their schedule. Those two teams are typically really good as of late.
  12. East has been practicing in the gym with AC while North has been practicing outside with extra water breaks. We shall see which method pays off in the end. Come see us in the heat on Friday!
  13. Transfer of Lil B from Madison to Columbus East for 2024-2025 now confirmed! 😄
  14. Bloomington North Columbus North Bloomington South Perry Meridian Cripus Attucks Terra Haute South
  15. Sorry. I thought I was still in the HHC tread for some reason. I was in it, then out. Not a bad move because that drive sucks!
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing a conference like that. The drive to Terra Haute is a haul for a conference game. I'm sure they feel the same about driving to Columbus. Where is the link to the thread?
  17. I haven't seen a Conference Indiana thread. Start one up and I'll contribute.
  18. There is talk about pushing the start time of the game back to allow for the temperature to go down. The community tailgate is still scheduled for 5pm as far as I know. There have also been renovations at East with the visitors bleachers. Below is the article about that. https://www.therepublic.com/2023/08/21/a-new-look-easts-renovated-press-box-new-bleachers-ready-for-use-friday/
  19. Our game may be pushed back a little later in the evening to allow for the temp to drop some. That will allow it to get dark quicker which will be nice.
  20. Week 1: Both schools will face tough opponents this Friday North faces Decatur Central East faces Bloomington South
  21. @WWFan There was a post on this thread earlier about the coaching moves in and out of Salem the past few years. Have any idea of what's going on there? You guys end up with any Salem players after the dust cleared?
