You're right, Jeff has never won a regional. They almost did in 1981. They were beating Snider 17-0 at the half and Snider came back to win 18-17. Jeff has always been in the largest class until this year. They can play with anyone in 5A this year.

I think Metzger will have to use his feet and do a lot of running to win this game.

The last time that a team from far northwest Indiana won state in the largest class, was Portage in 1977. Merrillville won state in 1976 and Valpo won state in 1975.

It reminds me of the semi-state game in 2014. RC beat LCC 17-14 and they beat Bremen by 35 points (48-13) the week before. Andrean beat Bremen by 35 points last week. I only hope that LCC is able to kick the FG this time and win the game.

I was impressed with East Noble's win over Dwenger. East Noble is much better than they were in week 2. This East Noble team reminds me of the 2000 East Noble team that won state. They had David Gater on that team and everyone at East Noble was saying, "Don't go swimming"

Andrean will play LCC for the 2nd time in school history. Andrean beat LCC 30-12 in 2022. That game was at Andrean. I think LCC is a better team this year than in 2022. LCC went 6-3 in the regular season in 2022 and 9-0 this year. LCC is a more confident team this year. Andrean has shutout the last 3 teams they have played, including a 35-0 win over Bremen. LCC is not going to score 27 points on Andrean like Merrillville did, so I think it will be a low scoring game like the WL game. It might come down to a FG. I think LCC will win 17-14. If anyone has box scores or player stats from the season, feel free to post them. I know you can get that info other places, but I would like to see all the info right here.

I think the Bremen/Andrean game will be a very close game. Bremen could win that game. Bremen has been playing great, and just took out Rensselaer 38-7

It won't be 100-0, LCC is playing NM, not Frankfort. I'm just kidding! Muda might not believe this, but I think Frankfort will have a good football team again someday. Some might not remember, but North Montgomery won state in 1995 and 1996. NM went 13-1 in 1995 and they only beat Frankfort 20-18 that year. Crawfordsville was the only team to beat NM in 1995.

LCC has never played North Montgomery before in football. North Mont is not that far from Lafayette, but for some reason LCC has never played them. Let's look at some of the results for North Montgomery this year. Lebanon 42 NM 0 Western Boone 56 NM 14 Danville 47 NM 14 Tri-West 70 NM 0 OH MY! If Lafayette Jeff doesn't lay an egg against Kokomo, this will be the 3rd time in history that LCC and Lafayette Jeff have won football sectionals in the same year. The other years were 2022 and 1989. In 2022 Jeff beat Crown Point and LCC beat Rochester. In 1989 Jeff beat Marion and LCC beat Sheridan to win the sectional. Lafayette Jeff has never won a regional in football before, but Jeff has always been in the largest class until this year.

The way Lutheran took apart Heritage Christian 49-7, I don't think North Judson could beat them this year. We will never know because Lutheran is in 2A.

I'm sure Lutheran is glad to be out of 1A. There are not that many good teams left in 1A that could give Lutheran a game. Adams Central, South Putnam and Providence gave Lutheran a good game in the tournament last year. Adams Central is in 2A, Lutheran beat South Putnam 34-12 early in the year, and I don't know if Providence could hang with Lutheran this year or not.

I was just having fun too! I never thought they would beat Guerin. I'm still surprised that LCC is 9-0. I just hope LCC can make it to semi-state.

So LCC will never beat anyone good unless the refs help them? Those darn refs never get anything right. Maybe you could have bobref look at those calls.

Oh MY! Webo just barely back in 2A, so what? Guerin is in 3A. Schedule doesn't always matter. Guerin plays a much tougher schedule than LCC and LCC beat them. LCC played Andrean in 2022 and lost 30-12. They played at Andrean in the cold and Andrean pulled away in the 2nd half. I think that team was better than this years Andrean team. Things could go wrong in the game and WB could win. Webo has played 2 good teams and lost to both of them. I know you don't know who is going to win, but if you had to pick one team to win, who would it be, LCC or Western Boone? Three 1A enrollment teams are doing very well in 2A. LCC, Lutheran and AC. I think they are all still 1A enrollment.

It looks like LCC has 5 teams to worry about. The first is Western Boone. WB has lost their last two games. Lebanon took out WB and Guerin beat Lebanon. I think LCC beats them by 12 points. The next team is Andrean. I don't think Andrean is any better than West Lafayette. I think LCC beats Andrean by 6 points. Adams Central would be up next. AC is a really good team, they beat Heritage 33-14. I think AC could beat LCC. If LCC beats AC then they would probably play Brownstown Central or Lutheran. BC had a big win over 5A Seymour 27-0. Lutheran has been blowing everyone out since they lost to Triton Central. Lutheran beat Monrovia 49-14. So, it looks like there are 3 teams that can beat LCC. Adams Central, Brownstown Central and Lutheran.

Wow! LCC was down 21-0 and came back to win 22-21. I never thought they would beat Guerin. This is the first time in history that Lafayette Jeff and LCC have finished the regular season unbeaten in the same year. This is the 10th time that LCC has finished the regular season unbeaten. 1969...10-0 (No playoffs until 1973 1999... 9-0 (won state) 2006...9-0 (lost in the 2nd round of sectionals to Seeger 30-22) 2007...9-0 (lost to Clinton Central 28-27 in 1st round of sectionals) 2009...9-0 (won State) 2010...9-0 (won State) 2011...9-0 (won State) 2015...9-0 (won State) 2016...9-0 (lost to Pioneer 28-27 in Regional) 2024...9-0 (I don't know if they will win state) I don't think anybody thought LCC would finish 9-0 this year. This is the biggest surprise since LCC beat Sheridan in 1989. Lafayette Jeff is also 9-0 and could win state this year. They can play with anybody in 5A. Many think Merrillville or Plainfield will win state. I don't know what this means, but here are some games that might be of interest. Merrillville 14 Michigan City 12 Lafayette Jeff 17 Michigan City 13 Plainfield 24 Harrison 9 Lafayette Jeff 45 Harrison 21. Lafayette should enjoy this because Jeff and LCC might not finish the regular season unbeaten in the same year ever again.

You could always protest and bring your lunch from home. You could use one of those "Dukes of Hazzard" lunch boxes. Those are worth a lot of money today.

Multiple states have fully adopted UFSMS, providing free meals to all students regardless of eligibility. Michigan and California do this.

Lafayette Jeff has the highest FRL in Tippecanoe County, but has the best football team in Tippecanoe County. Jeff will be 9-0 after this Friday.

In 2023 69% of the students in the Lafayette school corporation received free or reduced lunch. This was due to a federal program that provides free breakfast and lunch to all students at schools with high rates of eligibility. 16.2 % of the students in the West Lafayette School corporation are eligible for free or reduced lunch.

I bet they score 70 against TH North this week.

I might not forget this game. I have never seen a game like it. LCC was taking knees, so I think muda would have been happy.
