I’m not sure what Bloomington South brings to the table but Floyd is a good team. Has a great RB, and a pretty decent QB. They have 2 losses on the year to 2 superior teams in Louisville Male and Columbus East. If you stop Wright you will win the game (I believe he had 21 yards Rushing against CE). The kid is super quick. I believe South’s D-Line will be the question mark. If they can stop the run they should be in good shape. @Fkfootball can fill you in on a little more.

I wouldn’t say Penn is one of the best teams in the state this year. This is not a normal Penn team.

Not changing what I’ve said all year. New Pal wins the 5A state title. Don’t care if it’s by 1 or 152. These are the 2 best teams in 5A (maybe in the state), it’s a shame this is a Regional match-up. I’m predicting a hard fought game by 2 tremendous teams.

The only loss CE had at any level against HHC opponents was the 12-7 loss to Seymour at the Freshman level. JV and Varsity both went unbeaten.

Center Grove - 31 Columbus East - 7 Final I was really impressed with Weems and Connor (can’t remember his last name). Both kids run extremely well. Weems is a squirrelly kid, devastating on his cuts, hard runner, great heart and fight with that kid. The overall size of CG was far too much for East to overcome. I actually thought the East defense played extremely well considering it was 14-0 quick off of a Punt Return and a Pick 6. East could not get anything going on offense, CG was there to shut the door on majority of the drives, and East shot themselves in the foot on a few with penalties. Good Luck to CG on the rest of the post season and get Mr Steele healed up so everyone can witness how great that kid can be.
