  1. Unless you're a vegan like me.
  2. Lol. I concede. Bigger fish to fry.
  3. I see that it's Tim Phillips' poll. So that rules out TV. Agree.
  4. Late touchdowns only count for Indy schools? The game was 21-17 deep in the third with CG struggling to get out of their own territory. So yeah, "all they can handle." It's all good, I'm okay with you pretending that Center Grove woke up when it counted most. They were the better team the whole game with Carroll always playing catchup. Still proud of Carrol and the way they played. You do you. Speaking of pretending, let's not pretend that CG is less than 2500 students. Maybe the case when Moore took over two and a half decades ago. State the facts. Barely shy of 2900. As @Komets2727 would say............carry on.
  5. Actually looks really good. I'd probably move Warsaw down to the 25 spot. I'd like to see Carroll in there somewhere, just not sure who to eliminate.
  6. Lol. I'd personally prefer a good defense over a good offense.
  7. Homestead at Dwenger Homestead has two decent wins. They beat a bottom of the barrel HCC team in Noblesville, but it's still HCC nonetheless. I'd call the win over Northrop a good win as well. The Bruins are no slouch. Dwenger came within 3 of a good Roncalli team. Beat a Toledo power by two touchdowns, and beat what I consider a pretty good Carroll team. I've got Dwenger in another close one. Let's say 16-6.
  8. Good stuff @Komets2727. Love the banter. I don't mind eating crow if I'm wrong. We just differ on how good Carroll is right now. If Carroll is as good as I think they are, then they'll beat Snider by at least 17 points. If it's a single digit game, I'll be the first to come on here and admit that I was wrong. Regardless of how decimated Snider was when they played Warsaw and East Noble due to some pre-season incidents, I do agree with you that this team is in the bottom 20 percentile of panther teams of the past. Hope I'm wrong, it's just hard to replace some of the talent they had over the last three years.
  9. I'm asking you.........."worst team in 5 years"...................give me some substance. Like maybe how many starters they lost, something like that. We all know they lost Jimmy Sullivan. Give me something else. Not......."I watched the game on summitcitysports.com." That's hardly ESPN. It looked like a 50/50 game going in. No one saw the 38-0 drubbing coming.
  10. It bothers you that Carroll delivered some punishing hits in that game? Why? All I said was that Carroll was competitive. Good grief, we up north got slammed when we lose by 40, then slammed again when we lose by 11. Lol. I don't know what channel you're watching your high school games on, maybe ESPN for all I know. But watching a game on summitcitysports.com doesn't come anywhere close to watching it in person. Not sure why I'm triggering everyone by congratulating Carroll for playing hard. Look, Center Grove has what, at least 6 players going D1? I was fully prepared to leave that game after the first quarter and hit the Dwenger/De Sales game down the street. I came away proud of how well Carroll played despite the loss. Moral victory? Why not with all the pre-season hype Center Grove was getting. Do I "need" a moral victory? No. We all know Indy owns 6A. Anyone with a morsal of a brain knows that Indy dominance is primarily based on enrollment. You'll never see Kevin Wright take over at Homestead..................5000 vs 2500 is a no brainer.
  11. NFL? College? Sure. But high school? I like you Bash, but that's the biggest batch of crap I've heard today. Why does it bother people from Indy so much that Carroll was only down 21-17 deep into the third with most of the third period played on CG's end? You guys won. Congratulations. I'm sorry it wasn't the beatdown Central Indiana was hoping for. Worst team in 5 years? Based on what exactly? Wow, GG and HSE must be pretty bad too.
  12. You're so off base right now, very unusual for you to be this wrong. Nothing impressive about Snider's game against Warsaw, the Tigers defense isn't any good. I love them, but I think they're overrated. You weren't even at the Carroll/CG game. You're not allowed to comment any further about it. Fifteen posts is the limit for a game that you didn't attend.
  13. I'm just being a d*** right now. But Carroll did have a few hits that reverberated around the stadium. Never really saw much of that from Center Grove. They just kill you with precision and know how to win football games. But at the end of the day, Indy people get butt hurt when their teams aren't the center of attention. Kinda like when the Fort Wayne team won the 7 on 7 national title down at the IMG academy. Crickets. Had that been an Indy team, there would have been 40 pages here claiming Indy football is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
  14. No, I just knew it would strike a nerve. Lol, you took the bait. Glad someone did.
  15. There are probably 20 coaches out there I could rattle off, maybe more. Not all coaches have the same resources, so it's really hard to gauge. But if was going into battle, I might want to start with Ralph or Wright. Maybe Moore.
  16. I saw what I saw, you saw what you saw. Center Grove is a great program, much respect. Carroll's community shows out like that every week. It's impressive.
  17. I never looked at it as a bad thing. Impressed at how his kids do this for four quarters. Also feel like he's one of the top three coaches in the state. Kudos to him and what he's built for the community. Thanks for the reply.
  18. At this point, I have no doubt having seen them in person. Sectional questions will come to light this Friday at Spuller Stadium.
  19. Ranked #24 in the latest poll. I have a hard time believing they won't shoot up 12 spots if they win their next ten games. At the end of they day, my second and third favorite teams right now are Miami and A&M.
  20. Still wondering if they play a s*** ton of kids both ways. I often wondered how a school of their enrollment competes with 6A programs. I know in the past Coach Ralph put his best players on both sides of the ball. Presuming that's still the case.
  21. Not really worth debating. I just know that I saw a fun game for 3 quarters until CG pulled away. It's really more about how Carroll performed their first couple of weeks. I was impressed with how hard Carroll hit compared to Center Grove. I was expecting it to be the other way around with all of their D1 guys. They played HSE within a touchdown without their top offensive weapon. Either way, doesn't really matter how we as fans want to interpret it. I personally think Carroll will be a tough out in the northern bracket, but that's just me.
  22. I was there. Carroll was the harder hitting team that night, but yes, the better team did win at the end. Down 21-17 at halftime, Carroll had CG pinned in there own territory for most of the third quarter. Unfortunately, they never was able to take advantage of that by taking the lead. When CG went up 28-17 late third, we knew the game was over and that Carroll wasn't coming back. All I'm saying is that Carroll was competitive, it was an entertaining game.
  23. Not trying to stir controversy, just going by what I've personally witnessed and scores. This Center Grove team is loaded with D1 kids as well. You've mentioned him before. Just so you know, when I site these rankings, I'm always referring to seniors unless I state otherwise.
