  3. Great news for the Hoosiers. along with this news: https://twitter.com/2nineee/status/1326938314272890881?s=20
  4. Stories and blog posts have been coming out this week about another covid outbreak on campus in Columbus, OH. I am not into Outkick much at all, but this is an interesting article. Serious questions and concerns are raised. Is there REALLY an outbreak? Or is OSU looking for extra time for Fields to heal? If the game is postponed, it is a bad look on the game, considering the fact that OSU has basically dictated the season and the playoffs......and not on the field. It is that program that pushed hard for the conference to have a season, minimizing the risks of covid, and yet this campus/program has been the one in the conference with the most significant impact. So, they get a consensus in the conference that says yeah, ok; how about we set a standard for minimum number of games to play to be in the conference championship? They reach a majority for that decision as well. We get to the end of the season and OSU has not played the agreed upon number of games. The concern is that not allowing them to play in that title game would keep them out of the CFP. so, the rules are changed again for OSU's benefit. So, they win that game; make their way into the CFP. Granted they played the best game of football I have seen in quite a while against Clemson. So now we are at the title game. The CFP committee did have an alternate plan in case the game had to be delayed. There is still a chance it could be. (Move it to a Saturday evening please; Monday is a bad day for this game). Lord knows OSU has been caught doing some shady things in the past. I too wonder now....I say play the game no matter what. Tell OSU tough sh*t; play the game; you have been given enough breaks. https://www.outkick.com/couch-buckeyes-have-had-enough-rules-bent-for-them-already/?fbclid=IwAR09t7eE1pthm4tcX1rGZyqXQrnhSvESWpgi6pRv5p1cGX0XQ6RRbWO4FRY
  5. Not seeing your point here.
  6. Lawrence Central Head Basketball Coach Al Gooden is one win away from 500 career wins. He will be the first black coach in Indiana to reach that point. Such a shame that a turd that was supposed to be our building leader ran him off as our coach, but I was happy he landed at LC. Al is a great coach and even better man. I am honored to call him a friend.
  7. I am not so sure about the second part of this. Ole Miss put 48 points on the board against Bama. Maybe Bama had a bad day, but still.
  8. Fair questions. I don't ever recall hearing anything from his previous teams.
  9. I have long said that osu plays to the level of their competition. In the years that IU has been close; most of them, they were lucky to be close. This year though, I think OSU and Day wanted to prove some point. They were not going to let up. I think that is the difference between Day and Meyer. After a few years of IU keeping it close, Meyer brings a team to Bloomington and just destroys IU. Credit goes to IU for not folding early in the game this year. As far as osu goes, I don't think any of us who hate them expected that type of performance out of that team.
  10. Keep in mind that while Oregon won the PAC 12 Championship game, they were a replacement for Washington who had to back out due to virus issues. So it is not really a fair comparison. With that conference as a whole playing so few games, it is hard to draw any conclusions.
  11. I don’t remember seeing if IU has named a replacement for the DC position. Seeing that Mark Hagen is looking for a job as of today, I think he would be a great fit in that role. He has already been in a co-coordinator role with IU.
  12. Part of the problem....NBC has a two hour show that replaced the All American Bowl......the Declaration show. The hype the last decade plus around national signing day, and now this puts these kids on a pedestal they have not earned.
  13. Get over your BS with ND dude...wow While IU did not deserve to win, they blew the opportunity. The last few play calls were not good at all. They had a nice drive going and lost it. Allen was too late calling for time out, but I thought I heard a whistle at the snap. It even looked like Tuttle let up thinking a whistle had blown. Defense could not get off the field, and could not stop the Ole Miss offense. I was surprised too that IU did not even try a series with Williams at QB. He is a dynamic athlete. You had some time to prepare for a series. When Penix went down, it really is something they should have been doing any way. Not doing so really bit them, as it was obvious that Tuttle was hurt late in the first half. Bad showing by IU overall though.
  14. IU offense is too inconsistent. Tuttle has not looked good most of the 2nd quarter. Defense makes a couple good plays, but then gives up a big one that keeps drives going. They are lucky to be down just 10 late in the first half. i delayed posting as it is looked like Ole Miss would get more points at the end of the half. Wake up Hoosiers
  15. Jeff George Jr is a grad transfer at Alabama as well. I am not sure where he is on the depth chart, but pretty cool experience for him.
  16. I tried editing it, but a 49 second clip is too large to upload here......All bets are off though because the ball was caught behind the line of scrimmage. There are 3 different views in the original play and the two replays. Fast forward to about the 5:22 of this link. https://youtu.be/5Vjr7AMEWls
  17. Dabo’s staff is just getting outcoached. I am not sure what what Venables’ plan was from the first snap. There was a LOT of confusion in where LB’s should line up, and they were not ready at the snap. He also is sitting back in coverage and not really getting pressure on Fields. My thought is that seeing Fields is injured, bring the heat. You cannot let this kid sit back and just pick you apart. Olave is just finding ways to get open. Looking at what Northwestern did, and what OSU is doing, maybe the B1G is better than anyone thought? I think this actually makes IU look better. Just hope they can play well tomorrow.
  18. I think he is being overly dramatic. While Bama controlled the game, I would not use the word “demolish” to describe the game result. Clemson is actually getting beat worse than ND did. Just like when Clemson beat ND in the semifinal a couple years ago, they beat Bama worse than they did ND. I think ND is on the brink. They are just one or two players away now. I was surprised Book played as well this year as he did. I was NOT confident in his ability. He showed some of his old habits at times this year, but he is not a game changer. I am told that they have a QB commit that could be....we will see. I think they need to build up the secondary on defense. The strengths are the O Line is deep. They are deep at TE. The D Line is deep too, and they have steadily improved their run defense. As far as the money that ND rakes in....we can see that most of it goes toward the school itself.
  19. Ok 3.....I could not fully respond to that because I could not see what you quoted me saying. The top 3 has been mentioned before though, and the gap between them and the rest.
  20. I NEVER expected to see this. It is an impressive game for OSU.
  21. While the final score against Florida may have been closer, it really was not that close. Head to head matters too. It’s a bad look to have Bama beat Florida in the SEC Championship and then play them again two weeks later in the CFP. And yeah, when a team loses THREE times, the committee will and SHOULD give more weight to losses. There is no circumstance where a 3 loss team will EVER get into a 4 team playoff.
  22. Love seeing the IU uniforms will NOT have the Big Ten logo on them. Great response.
  23. While the Irish showed up better here than they did in the ACC Championship, there is still a gap....a significant one. One thing ND was able to hide for all but the two games agains Clemson and this game is that the secondary was really subpar. The defensive front played ok for a good part. Bama was never threatened in this game, so ND has some catching up to do. As I said before, is the school willing to take some risks to get over that hump? The odds that Bama does this in the championship game as well? The secondary for both Clemson and OSU will have the same struggles. You cannot say their record and schedule for this year should not have had them in this game. Should A&M have been here? Cincinnati? No way to either of those. This is more about the gap between both Bama and Clemson and the rest of the field.
  24. He has rejected teams in the past. I think he stays at Northwestern until he retires. Why leave? It’s a great job, great kids, great environment, expectations will never be too high, and think of all the great places to eat in Chicago. 😁
  25. The kid is still on twitter defending himself...lol really sad actually.
