  1. Hmmmm
  2. With the Blackhawks missing the playoffs yet again, I think I can root for the Sabres. Why, you may ask? Here is one good reason
  3. Held off for a while to gather my thoughts here. I cannot say enough how great this crew was to work with. I really enjoyed seeing you guys at our freshmen and/or JV games. Each man on that crew would take time to teach kids what they were looking for on a given play, and explain to them why a flag was thrown. While there is never a game where you get every call you think you should, when this crew had the game, you knew it was going to be fair. You knew you could communicate with them to clarify things. Great crew, but better men. And all of that about the crew is a direct reflection of the man leading them. Enjoy your extra time, you have earned it.
  4. This is an entertaining story about Kobe
  5. Great story from Bettis https://www.facebook.com/reel/470031726159921?fs=e&fs=
  6. Except he was not silent....His first response based on the information given cited the rules that were in play. He gave a follow up answer when he referred to talking to the crew. You even quoted that answer in your post Wednesday. He just did not give an answer you liked. That said, you have to take a step back and see how long this topic has gone on....especially for someone who had no dog in that game.
  7. It's a start. It's criminal what they have been doing for the last decade and change. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/music/music-industry-news/live-nation-trial-verdict-1236561243/
  8. My only take on this is that a WR Room can be too crowded? When you have the run game Green Bay for most of the year, the focus has been to get targets to a lot of WRs. Doing so can have a huge impact on game planning....and it has been evident for a long time. RBs are forgotten too often, but TEs are as well. That impacts what could have been an effective screen game.
  9. The one sport that does not get mentioned in this that will be impacted in wrestling. There are wrestlers on the 6th, 7th, and 8th year in college from this past season. Still a few from the covid era, but some have had Olympic exemptions along with red shirt years. As PDB put it, it becomes a men vs. boys thing.
  10. What is unique for college hockey is a lot of players will have played what is called junior hockey before going to college. The USHL is a junior hockey league. There are a few leagues in Canada as well as some in Europe. I really enjoy watching the junior world championships. I think this is what creates the unusual collegiate path. the IIHF has an age restriction of 20 for players in the World Championship tournaments also known as U20. So players will attempt that path before going to college. There is also a U18 tournament. So players will choose either a minor league path or college hockey after that. I think baseball and hockey are the only two sports where kids can be the property of a pro team and still compete at the college level.
  11. Unsustainable https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2026/03/30/what-happens-when-a-200k-college-athlete-gets-a-65k-job-offer FTA: The NIL market has grown from roughly $917 million in 2021-22 to an expected $1.67 billion this season, with revenue sharing set to push that past $2.5 billion. But four years in, the industry is investing almost entirely in the deals, the collectives and the fine print without building anything meaningful on the other end, especially for the majority of athletes who will never go pro.
  12. Draft stock just went WAY up….😳
  13. Just have to give a shoutout to the 3A runner up, New Haven Bulldogs. This was the first team in school history to make a championship game in any team sport. They played tough against a more talented Cathedral team. Any other teams in that same boat as far as first appearance in a championship?
  14. I didn’t get the impression he said it was needed or that he is in favor of it. What he did say though is probably true . He just said it is likely going to happen. I too think it is inevitable.
  15. On this date in 1940, 1976, and 1987, IU wins 3 of its 5 National Championships in Men's basketball.
  16. This response from him is exactly why I did not want to see the team renegotiate with him. It's always someone else's fault. You can tell us you are talking to players, but that does not translate to what the NFLPA report says. Talking about player roles, let's look at Matthew Golden. You take a WR in the 1st round, you expect things from him and for him. 44 targets for the season. That is play calling/scheme. Not sure if Golden is a guy he is referring to, but he is a guy who has a right to be upset with his role. It is just another example of the fact that he refuses to adapt. He thinks he is right and everyone around him has to adjust. Just like his game plan week by week, he does not adjust to what teams do against him. There is a reason you see so many leads disappear.
  17. It is my opinion this should have been a T. celebrate a game winning shot all you want, but you NEVER.....EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER make contact with an official, especially head to head. This could have easily cost his team the game.
