Changes made to discipline from targeting: Only thing I would have liked to see is consideration for hits that are more serious in nature, or maybe even more intentional? I know it's hard really make that call, but some targeting hits really did deserve a disqualification. Another issue is the inconsistency in it being called and the reviews.

They finished the season 13-18. I don't think anyone on the team can be called a baller. 😀

Remember, there was a 3 year gap between those two. The new AD at Notre Dame at that time pushed him out. But part of the decision was that Lou did not want to pass Rockne in all time wins. There were two games left in the season when he did step down. He worked in TV for a couple of years before South Carolina contacted him. It was my impression when he left South Bend that he was just retiring.

The Netflix series on this team is interesting to watch. So many bad characters and they still played at such a high level.

Interesting move. Kind of surprised at the number of big men at various colleges that don't make the NBA who could have transitioned to football. Luke Harangody was another from Notre Dame that I thought should have gone that route. Antonio Gates is the one I always think of when I see a move like this.

Breathing a HUGE sigh of relief. Reports from the previous few days were that Green Bay was looking to trade for him. Praying the Jets come through for me on this one. 😄

Not much traffic in the BBall forums, so I thought I would post here. Just a couple of days after the school said they would keep Matta, he decides to retire. He has had a great career. He came back during a different era in college sports. Best of luck to him in retirement.
