  1. Come on Footballking - take your laser like focus on this topic back to the other sections within this forum where you have posted many times and where your opinion is loud and clear - thank you
  2. Toughest sectional in the state is in 3A - - - should start and finish with some very strong games. Sectional champ will be the favorite to go to LOS and win State - - - let the games, and commentary, begin! 4. Without question - Brebeuf has always trended up as the season progresses. They are more than ready come playoff time and usually trending in the right direction.
  5. interesting stat...Kyle Cheek has 18 TD passes...Andrew Sowinski has 15 TD receptions... I know this is not a Chatard topic, but the similarity is interesting...
  6. IF true, then the coaches should be fired. No excuse for this kind of crap!
  7. My understanding is that they were maybe ranked 7ish in class 6 (out of 8 classes). Not sure how that equates to Indiana's classes. Tough game for them after driving like 3 hours.
  8. I can not speak for the voters, but it may not have anything to do with WL and more to do with Chatard's win this past weekend. I am not saying Chatard is better, rather just offering an opinion to your question
  9. I would say that you are correct about putting too much on the Chatard vs. Southport game. However, the rest of the season suggests Chatard is playing as good as anyone in 3A. It would be a tough argument to suggest otherwise, but that's why we have this forum - to hash it all out before the playoffs!
  10. 32 is gonna be a good sectional. Lots of good teams with Could not agree more. Only Marian in sectional 26 is one team that I am not overly familiar with, but they appear to be having a great season. Even with that said, the odds are overwhelming that 28 meets 32 at LOS
  11. This is one game that I am very much looking forward to...does anyone know if it will be on tv or streamed? Radio?
  12. I believe WL and Chatard are interchangeable - either could be 1 or 2 at this time. As the season progresses, we will get more of a feel, but ultimately we will find out in sectionals. Fun to talk about now though isn't it?
  13. I think 5-0 Edgewood vs. Indian Creek is another in 3A which has my attention.
  14. Good luck to all teams and players tomorrow night!
  15. As long as they get past Crawfordsville....
  16. This might start something, but at the half way point it would seem that the winner of Sectional 28 will win state. I know, I know. There are a lot of talented teams in sectional 32, but absent of some type of injury or weather or something else extraordinary, I think it comes down to sectional 28 and, more specifically, Chatard or W. Lafayette (who has been fairly quiet on GID this year). Key 3A games this week will provide more info (Guerin, Brebeuf, GS, HH, others) One more day til the next Friday night :)
  17. So much to say, but so little that matters. Irish won. Chatard OL is very good as I do not believe they have given up a sack all year, including that night. Now, some of that is due to scheme and a mobile qb, but the OL is doing a fantastic job. Chatard and you will be tough outs. Lots of other quality teams (i.e. New Pal who I think will win 5A, and quite easily, W. Lafayette, GS, Braves, Guerin, Heritage Hills, etc) will have a lot to say about that, and rightfully so. Tough to buy into your "game should have been worse" comment. Your examples of red zone plays are fine, but a fumble and blown coverage plays could swing the argument the other way toward a Chatard win, but, again, it does not really matter. Irish won. Anyway, I still like the "pound for pound" conversation though Agree with it all except for I want sectional 28 champ (hopefully chatard) to beat the sectional 32 champ....Mish Marian is lurking as well:)
  18. That's funny - good tie in with the other thread - nice!
  19. Southridge is interesting as they now sit at 5-0, but most of the pub has gone to GS and HH who play this weekend. Chances are the two LOS teams in 3A will be Sectional 28 vs. Sectional 32. You never know though as other teams certainly will have their say (i.e. Marian, Knox, Edgewood, etc.).
  20. Chatard. Guerin is well coached and this always seems to be a close game because of that, but I think Chatard will have too much this year. I certainly hope for a good and safe game, but this one goes to the Trojans. Brebeuf. Always trends higher as the season goes on and I am just not sure what is going on at Roncalli except that they are young ( I think) and trying to find their way. They will play hard, but I think they come up short vs. the Braves. Don't have anything on the HC/CC game. Probably not relevant in the CCC, sooooo...
  21. Based on records, it appears Knox, West Noble, Edgewood, and Brownstown Central are having good years as all are currently undefeated. Anyone have some intel on these teams?
