  1. Now we see what shakes out in sectional 32 - should be a very anticipated game and I am looking forward to seeing how each team does..
  2. I think anyone who needs to understand what that means should GTS (i.e. Google That S*#%) :)
  3. Im gonna have to take a picture of this thread, print it, and enjoy someone from Cathedral giving mad props to the Trojans! 🙂
  4. It is crazy to think that out of 8 sectionals and 64 teams that there currently are no top 15 ranked teams in 2 of those - 27 and 30. And 4 of top 5 in one sectional AND 7 of 10 in two sectional AND 12 of 15 in 4 sectionals. Just a bit out of balance, but it is what it is and it will make for some very good early contests come playoff time. Still too early, but its starting to become clear - 3A is gonna be tough! Classic
  5. A lot of games this weekend will shake class 3A up just a bit - some great match ups
  6. Has there been precedent on this with Indian Creek before these recent transfers?
  7. I would like to better understand "how 28 got drawn" - probably just my ignorance, but it seems there is an implication here....
  8. There is no doubt - good luck to all involved. Hopefully, this puts him in the best place to succeed in life!
  9. Agree with Lysander. Chatard, including coaches, seemed off/flat. Southport was without several weapons and the QB would have been a difference. Although, the back up did quite well. There is not a lot to read into the Southport game....other than a win. Agree with Titandad - sectional 28 is gonna be tough. How is 32 shaping up? Gibson Southern was touted at the beginning of the year, but Heritage and Southridge appear to be having great seasons. That sectional looks to also be tough
  10. We are just past the half and 3A is a tough class. I have posted the latest sagarin, but this obviously could/will change. CLASS 3A CLASS RANK STATE RANK TEAM OVERALL RATING SCHEDULE STRENGTH RANK RECENT RATING RANK PREDICTOR RATING RANK 1 8 Indianapolis Chatard 101.97 77.81 23 100.48 9 102.55 7 2 17 West Lafayette 93.07 60.50 63 91.35 15 93.32 17 3 33 Mishawaka Marian 78.43 45.17 135 78.85 32 78.64 31 4 36 Brebeuf Jesuit 76.88 67.12 35 78.54 33 76.23 37 5 38 Guerin Catholic 76.21 67.23 34 80.28 27 75.41 40 6 52 Heritage Hills 71.57 38.40 175 72.03 50 71.30 53 7 56 Gibson Southern 69.50 27.09 251 68.79 57 69.67 57 8 73 Brownstown Central 64.05 38.59 173 65.47 70 63.90 74 9 79 Lawrenceburg 62.40 42.41 143 62.76 79 63.18 77 10 83 Southridge 61.85 34.69 200 64.59 72 61.35 84 A few observations: 1) Sectional 28 is brutal: #s 1, 2, 4, and 5 2) Section 32 looks to be tightening with Gibson, Heritage, and Southridge 3) Top 5 on one side, #s6-10 on the other...interesting 4) Does recent Indian Creek transfers impact Sectonal 29 5) Any insight on Mishawaka? 5) Big games this week: Heritage vs. Gibson, Chatard vs. Guerin Welcome any/all comments. Hope the second half is as exciting as the first half!
  11. On paper - seems to be a good game. Will be watching to see how this sectional is developing within 3A
  12. I know, I know. No system is perfect and this particular issue is not unique.
  13. I was looking around for film on that hit and could not find, but I have heard it was quite obviously late, intentional, and overall just bad form. Too bad and completely unnecessary. Anyway, I hope the QB is okay and plays Friday.
  14. Completely agree with this assessment. Crazy to think that teams who are favored to possibly go to LOS will not get out of their sectional...
  15. Any news on the Southport QB? Is Southport #1 out this week for his extracurricular play during GS game?
  16. It would be interesting to know if there is another sectional or two which compare to those in 3A: #s 28 and 32. I know there have been tough sectionals in the past where the #1 and #2 might be in the same, but am not sure I have seen the top heavy load of these two within one class. In some regards it makes the win that much sweeter when the challenge is that much greater (perceived). Lots of football to go and who knows how it will end up, but it sure is looking like a potential blood bath coming up. Every player should want and welcome that challenge!
  17. I expect Chatard to fully win by several TD's. They have to take the recent loss out on someone
  18. I agree - the field held up well and was in good shape. Great job by those responsible in making it this way!
  19. Well - that is one way to look at it, I suppose. My take was that it was not a lack of effort, but more of how good Chatard was last year. There was talk that the rain impacted the outcome and I would agree. If the rain was not there last year, then I suspect Chatard would have won by a couple TD's...at least. This is a new year. I expect a great match up and great effort from both teams. Should be a close one, but I'm a homer - so I predict Chatard to be victorious and make it 2 in a row
  20. Probably correct, but then the next prediction would be is it gonna be another Irish fan or someone else :)
  21. There is no doubt that the Chatard game is huge for both schools and Indiana high school football in general. Should be fun. Very excited to see Chatard in this match up.
