I’m in the twitter world and use TGD every Friday toggling thru scores. Seems most high schools have a twitter account and post updates as well. I don’t have any suggestions as I get exactly what I need from TGD account.

Anyone have info on Osceola Grace? How long have they had a team and who’s the head coach? Is this the same school that tried starting up football a couple seasons ago or was that an Elkhart area school. Just wondering

I’m sorry, why did Penn/St. X cancel? Is Ohio later start?

Make it 7. They just cancelled week 3 against Munster.
The Mustangs will now play South Bend Clay as a replacement game at Munster. Good game for a couple struggling programs.
Could be a good matchup

Jasper County established Half Capacity
So KV is selling 1000 tickets for their side
We get about 300
I know our AD was out last week determining capacity on each side of the bleachers.
Game 1 for us is in county:
We host North Newton next week.
Then Host Western, so not sure about Howard County ( I believe that is Western's county)
As someone who enjoys starting the season off with the battle for the cracker barrel, I need to know if 1300 people are going to the game? I don't want to be 1301 and get denied access at the gate!! Kind of kidding, but also kind of serious. Will teams be selling tickets at the gate or do ticket purchases need to be made prior to game day?

Thought they might have Elkhart-Concord to kick off the season since it’s the first game for the new Elkhart HS.
That 9/11 game between Warsaw and Mishawaka will have a lot of viewers, and could be the quickest game of the season!

Not sure if serious.... have you looked at a map before??
That bus ride. Yikes.
Whiting made the trip to Evansville last season I think... that’s a long long bus ride

Postpones fall sports till further notice.
Feel for the kids. If they miss their season is it possible they could suit up late this winter and schedule some Illinois schools?

My wonder is who is going to police who comes in? The actual law enforcement? The admin who usually hang out track side? My mom sells tickets at our local high school, and I can guarantee you she’ll be letting everyone in, especially if she knows you. (I’m assuming she won’t be selling tickets this season) Or will they just lock or close the gate once the away team arrives?

I guess the more pertinent question would be if all schools will start and finish.... thats the question, I mean technically, State could run it as is, but far less than 100% of football playing school could be participating from week to week, that is what I see more so then anything else.
Could or would they reclassify if some schools can’t participate in post season? Or would that be way too difficult to do? Hopefully it doesn’t come to that..

Doesn’t Andrean always have a special team?!? Haha

So you think Andrean is in for a long run? Would like to see more true North teams playing down state.QB Mayersky (sp?) was a stud on both sides of the ball last year for BG

If you have an IPhone just go to settings-safari-clear history and website data. Then you will get 5 more stories. Clears your “cookies”.
Will try that, looks like they’ve updated the story...

Tri-Township School Corporation in Wanatah (near Valparaiso) will be e-learning until further notice. I don’t think TTSC has a football team.
Could be wrong but that is either LaCrosse HS (no football) or South Central (LaPorte) who has football and is starting virtually.

Just reporting what I saw. I’m not saying if it’s right or wrong as I truly do not know that answer, just like everyone else.
I can’t read the article online (Read my 5 stories this month) but the headline says they “recommend” virtual delay and start date. Are they still deciding? Heard the teacher union is behind this move...
-
Maybe I missed it but when are they (Ihsa) beginning the winter sports, same time line as previous years or later start date?
-
So just saw SEC is playing 10 conference games only. Wonder if this will factor into ACC scheduling an extra non conference game or strictly playing an ACC schedule?
have I missed what the big 10 is doing this year as far as scheduling?
-
In the sense that they might have a MAC or CUSA or lower tier team on their schedule to play, yes.

Therer are no JV games on the schedule for the Irish this year like in years past. A 10 game ACC schedule will require them to be at their best every week, just like every other school in the conference. Navy gives them a breather, and they will need it
New Mexico
Bowling Green
Ball State
Tulsa
Vanderbilt
Miami OH
Nevada
Army
Navy
UMass
Temple
Haha like every other conference school doesn’t have a “break” or JV team on their schedule

Playing a full Power 5 conference only schedule makes things much tougher for these players.
These cupcake cnon con games over the years have given the P5 schools a nice in season break to rest up their key players and give young kids a chance to play. That has changed now with no MAC, CUSA ar AAC or other games on the schedule. ND needs this Navy game to give its players a break.
If you think defending the option and getting chop blocked for an entire game is a “break” I would have to disagree. Sure, on paper Notre Dame should win handily but those games can be very tough when you have limited possessions and Navy isn’t just going to roll over.

Didnt somebody on here recently say that ND would NEVER drop the Navy game?
Not sure, but Notre Dame still can and probably will play navy, just not in Ireland or Annapolis (which is kind of a bummer). According to the ACC guidelines, the 1 non conference game has to be played in the ACC schools state so if they play navy it will be in Indiana.

I was not familiar where school was at so I went to John Harrell's site, school section. Last year he used to have map to school when you clicked on school in schedule area. Now it has "football field" map/view, pretty cool. Not sure if this is for all schools, but probably??
I’m not sure if he has field views for all schools but his football site is so awesome. I love searching it and looking at schedules and previous seasons, get lost for hours on there

FWCS just announced this evening kids are starting back on August 13th. Teachers asked for more time to prepare for the combination of virtual and in person teaching, as well as putting other plans in place for safety.
Is this the original start date?

Mine was delivered last night. Is there a better HS season preview? Every year I need my Indiana football digest and Phil Steele college magazine and I’m set!

Well, got home and read Bama’s AD squashed any rumors of that game happening this season. Have to wait until 2028/29 for the home and home regular season series to see the matchup.
