You nominate yourself for the Hall. He is obviously a shoe-in, just hasn’t filled out the form to do it. I believe they discuss that in the interview. He mentioned that he felt there were assistant coaches that deserved to go in before him.

Russ is just chasing Bud at this point. He’ll have a loaded gun to start his reign with the Redskins.

So wait, you have to nominate yourself to get into the Indiana HOF?

The Red Devils are always a solid team. One of the top programs in the area, year in and year out.  I'd venture they've earned the right to be considered a contender.

Yea that’s why I was asking. Not sure what all they have coming back. I’m also anxious to see how highland and KV are in year 3 with current head coaches

the OT from Mt Carmel was there last year but hurt his shoulder in summer session and was out for the entire year, but he has been at Andrean now going on 2nd year

I see a theme there of 3 of the 4 teams receiving "transfers"

I stopped caring about where kids are going to school long ago.

Look forward to the challenge of attempting to knock off the 59ers, last year wras quite the track meet

Fun game to watch, neither defense could stop the other offense... take those fumbles away and that would have probably been a wild finish!
Anxious to see how Valpo/mville game goes, Hobart/Andrean could be a doozy too. Will Lowell be a player this year?

Tommy Rees calling the shots on offense?

    Yeesh...

What’s not to like? I know he’s young but played the position, spent time around Phillip Rivers (who has had a long productive career), and his dad was a head high school coach I believe. Football is in him, so hopefully he’s able to reach and get through to his players to put them in great positions to succeed.

  5. I absolutely love everything chase claypool brought to the field as a receiver, blocker, and special teams player. He is gonna be missed for sure. But I can’t wait to see some of these young offensive skill guys.... like Braden Lenzy and that speed he has. Kevin Austin has a lot of talent if he can get on the field and it sounds like he’s done everything in the classroom to get back on the field. With a veteran offensive line they should be good up front and with a senior qb like book it could be a potent offense if the young guys can step up. Anxious to see the freshman skill guys, RB Tyree who’s a blazer, TE Mayer, and WR Johnson. I think Tommy tremble could be a breakout candidate at TE too. But then again I always think this year is the year so take my opinion with a grain of salt haha

With it being May, I'm surprised New Prairie hasn't named a new HC yet!  I understand the Covid-19 issue, but the new HC would probably like to get his chance at video-conferencing with his players ASAP.  Maybe NP will simply name an interim HC from the existing assistant coaches due to the virus situation?

I thought I'd read on the SB Tribune or Twitter a few weeks ago that the HC job was back open. The top choice (or maybe it was the top 2 or 3 choices) could not come to a contract agreement. I could be wrong, let me see if I can find that article....

100%. Look at NDs record in "big games" the past like 15 years, its staggeringly terrible.

LSU, Bama, UGA, OSU, Clemson, and Oklahoma

At this point in time that's the only teams who matter. No ND is not a player right now, they aren't a threat, even as much as their fanbase wants to believe they are.

And honestly.. what's with the not being in a conference?

How does a ND fan even act arrogant in big games anymore? I dont understand.

Ummm notre dame has beaten LSU last two times they’ve played.... but as a notre dame fan I understand what you’re saying. They need to win a big game. Period. Until then, people can and have the right to say whatever or just say Michigan (I still don’t know what happened there). As far as the conference exclusion, I kind of like it so they can keep playing whomever they choose and still keep the National brand of playing rivals and across the country and on NBC. But I’ve been waiting since Lou holtz was on the sideline for them to win a big one.

How about South Bend Washington from 1973 and Mishawaka Marian from 1973 and 1974

Out of curiosity how many teams played football in 1973, and how many teams made the playoffs? It’s a bit before my time but I always heard how good those Marian teams were. I think John Ferretti (spelling way off) played on one of those teams and was my vice principal growing up.
