Hopefully sarcasm. From what I've seen teachers and coaches are resigning because they are being overworked and are facing a complete lack of communication and care from the administration. The superintendent is also apparently blocking people who are expressing their concerns on social media. Rumor is that Hidalgo resigned because he knew the hiring process was not handled in an upstanding way. Seems like a LaPorte situation turned up to ten.

    Is this a new superintendent?
I have no clue but is there any chance coach Cain could come back on an interim basis? Sounds like a very sad state of affairs up in whiting and very late in the game to be searching for a head coach?

Is this the year, Notre Dame gets removed from this list with other national powerhouses?

Man I hope so. Has to happen one day but let’s see if they can actually get to the NY6 game this season with MF and what should be a tougher slate.

  3. Dante Moore making his announcement Friday at noon on ESPN. Seems like Oregon will be the choice in the end. Feel good about the Irish getting Carr but little disappointed they couldn’t close with Moore. Anxious to hear what happened back in February or March when he was close to committing to ND or maybe that was never true.

Per WHME Antwon Jones has resigned as SB Adams head coach to take a job as head of security at Penn. it’s expected he’ll be hired as an assistant coach there also

And I assume his sons will play at Penn as well (if they’re still in high school). That’s nice for the Adams kids, lose their head coach and a player or 2 a month before the season officially begins. I’m sure Adams will find a top replacement in no time.

That certainly doesn't say too much positive about the prior coaching staff. When Jeff Cain retired this program was still a legitimate regional semi-state contender. Whitings and enrollment has been steady. Every region team has seen an influx of Hispanic players. Why should whiting be any different?

Honest question, did coach Cain ever have andrean in the sectional? Will whiting drop back down to 1A?

Perhaps you should. ND is #2 in the NACDA standings, 7 pts. behind Michigan after the winter sports season. https://s3.amazonaws.com/nacda.com/documents/2022/4/6/April7Overall.pdf. They trail leader Georgia in the Capital One Cup, by 6 pts., and Michigan by 5, tied for #3. https://www.capitalone.com/capital-one-cup/. The #6 finish by men’s lacrosse and the baseball team’s CWS appearance should get them some points when the Spring season is totaled up.

I’m just curious how many schools have skiing and a rifle teams??

Unfortunately for me, doesn’t look like Michigan.

His recruitment has been kind of head scratching. Seemed headed to ND but wanted to tour all of the big schools like LSU, Oregon, Miami, been to Michigan a few times this summer and now he’s taking an official to A&M to see how they landed the #1 class last year. I feel like he was looking for any reason not to go to ND and maybe that’s what dragged his recruitment on and why the Irish jumped on Carr.
I’m so curious to see what Moore ends up deciding, but admit I will be a little disappointed if he does end up in the $EC

Has to bother UM fans, back to back highly touted in state qbs both possibly leaving the state? What gives? Altho I have heard there’s a highly touted qb from NC that is high on the wolverines

Loy reporting it’s either Carr OR Moore.

    Dante likely SEC bound.

Also hearing Carr may reclassify to the 23 class.  Not sure if that’s accurate or not but latest rumor. Curious to where Dante ends up (please anywhere but LSU)

Are Lloyd carr and Michigan not on good terms?

Kind of a dumb question haha. I realize he was fired i just don’t remember if it got ugly at the end.

  11. ND is trending up with a 5 star qb, but his name is not Dante Moore. CJ Carr, former Michigan HC’s grandson, is a top 2024 qb recruit who just visited and threw at south bend on Sunday. Would be crazy if they somehow landed both Carr and Moore in back to back classes (a guy can dream right?).

I noticed this posted on the high school side of the forum.  Any probability that Daeh moving north to live with Dad and catching ND games on Saturdays may result in him flipping to the Irish??

First they ran Tom Wells out of town and now this? WTF is happening in LaPorte? Wells is going to stick it to Laporte for as long as he’s coaching City. New Prairie has to be licking their chops for week 1. The amount of people within the coaching and ex Slicer community I’ve seen criticize LaPorte for not hiring James is damning.

I’m shocked. My question is did coach James actively pursue the HC position or was his name just brought to the board? Either way I’m surprised they wouldn’t want a loyal, well respected man to lead the program that others have left year after year.

Not sure if anyone is familiar with Coach McCullough's background, but it is a remarkable story. I actually had a chance to meet him as he came to the school to meet our RB at that time. It was a great chat, but before I knew this story.

I had no idea until I heard about this as well. Really incredible story.

Also read ND has not offered Daeh and isn't likely to end up playing college ball in South Bend. I thought for sure he would be heading to ND with his dad but sounds like that may not be the case which makes me wonder why he de-committed from IU?

Could kind of see this one coming.....leaves both of his brothers at IU.  Unless they soon both move north to join him.

Question....at most schools, does a child of a parent working at a school get free schooling without taking up a scholly?  In other words, if Daeh ends up playing at ND, does he take up one of the alotted scholarships or would he get free schooling through his father as an employee?

Good question, was wondering the same thing.

Just de-committed from IU. Have to think the Irish are in the running here.
