  6. Someone that worked there told me they've lost over 300 students in the district since 2020.
  7. Here is the official regulations per the IDOE: https://www.in.gov/doe/students/indiana-choice-scholarship-program/
  8. I know these schools are doing what they can to be competitive, but it is making for challenging schedule issues for other schools. The Hoosier Hills is running into this with Jennings leaving. Floyd and Jeff will be challenged to find week 8 and 9 games to replace them. Kentucky schools are a logical choice, but they are generally in district play at the end of the season, so that doesn't work.
  9. Did they have a choice? I suspect that is the week that Salem will have Madison on their schedule going forward. Salem has two other non-conference games, but my guess is they want to keep them since they are rivalry games.

  18. Just start from this week? Makes sense to me.
  19. I think that's a good move for both schools. All the schools in the SAC have similar enrollments. When Henryville joins in football, it will lend itself naturally to scheduling for Eastern and Clarksville.
  20. This is a good move for both sides. Any link to this? I can't find it anywhere. When do they plan to start? Glad to hear it's finally happening. It's been a long time coming.
  21. Official statement from East Washington School Corporation This is a great move for their athletic department as a whole. The reason they haven't done it in the past is because of the fear of the loss of the gates from other MSC team. Undoubtedly, they will still play most MSC schools in most sports. Plus, I think they'll find some great rivalries and gates by playing in the SAC (Borden, Henryville, Lanesville, Crothersville, New Washington and South Central (Elizabeth)). However, this move will benefit football the most. They can play Clarksville, PLAC teams and any of the MSC teams they still wish to play. I'm sure they'll maintain the West Washington and Salem games since they are county rivals. Good luck to the Musketeers.
  22. Coach Hawkins is leaving Charlestown to take the Clarksville job. This was approved at the Clarksville school board meeting this evening. It is on the Clarksville Athletics Twitter. Link
  23. They were trying to get it through when SC did, but the board at the time didn't want it to happen because they wanted to see how SC fared as a program. Henryville had land that was going to be donated for the field and everything. This was around 2009, I believe. Then the board just said no, without ever really giving it a shot and in the mid 2010s, they dropped their youth program.
  24. Henryville has reinstituted their youth program, with a possible eye on it leading up to a high school program. At least that is what I heard. We'll see if it ever happens. They're the largest school in the state without football and would be a solid 2A program. There's a lot of potential there, if they choose to go forward. I think it could be successful if they were able to compete in the PLAC or even if they were to go independent. I know in the past the school has not been willing to make a move due to the gates they get at other sports in the MSC.
  25. Lol... I'm guessing the line will be -35 IU
