Concordia's head coach steps down
Coach Nowlin replied to jakone's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I believe he is also Director of Athletics Sometimes its just the right time to shift sole focus to one or the other -
I would say some extremely Bad Luck on a couple final four level teams under the Painter era Can't speak too much on the Keady era, though I was following, I was too young to really have an opinion. I know that there are many that loathe the chanting of that, including the School President and even Matt Painter himself. In rivalies like PU/IU, isn't some that expected on both sides?? No different than IU student section chanting Hoosier Daddy over the years

And with a subpar OL, what does bringing in ANY of these QBs do for you? Rinse, Repeat....

Space is very limited: See attached Flyer: Coaches, The Decatur Central football program would like to cordially invite you to the first annual Hawk Coaches Clinic which will be hosted at the Links of Heartland Crossing Golf Course clubhouse on the near southside of Indianapolis. This will be one of the first in-person coaches clinics since the pandemic began a year ago, and all precautions will be taken based on local health and safety guidelines. These protocols will limit the number of patrons based on local health and safety guidelines, therefore registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Admission will cost $30, which also includes a free drink at the cash bar AND a free catered meal in the venue. Admission will be paid at the front door via cash or check. You must pre-register for the event at the link below. Professional Growth Points will also be available to those attending the event. The speakers for this event have coached at some of the top programs in the state and combine for a total of 8 state championships to their names, including a former XFL assistant. It is our goal to provide one of the premier professional development opportunities in the area, while also providing the social aspect of the clinic that we all have missed over the past year. Once again, you must pre-register for this event at the link below. If you have any questions you may contact Head Coach Kyle Enright (kenright@decaturproud.org) or Assistant Head Coach Max Goodin (mgoodin@decaturproud.org) with anything you need. Registration Link: Hawk Clinic Registration (Flyer attached) Thanks, Decatur Central Football

Kentucky - Potential 5th Year Seniors
Coach Nowlin replied to irishuncle411's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
hate all of that Thankfully we had a state who pushed through this year and has been very successful in operating throughout the year. Kuddos to all from IHSAA, down to all players and everyone in between. It takes everyone to be on same page to pull of what Indiana as done thus far -

Freshman football schedules
Coach Nowlin replied to superjay's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Renssealer has had a Freshman team for all my years as well, however it has turned into more of the "C" team format. New Quarter RULE aboslutely KILLS the lower level, used to be 5 Sub Varsity quarters, now its only 4... that has been a nightmare for small schools still trying to maximize reps. Our Better Freshman seem to be playing full time JV (if not varsity) and our developing sophomore/1st year players roll down to the C team to fill in. Harder and harder to find full on freshman games, but love trying to get all the reps we can -

Hoosier Conference
Coach Nowlin replied to Coach P's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Cass: Wing T Tipton: Multiple with a nice Spread and under center combo from what I have seen, usually very good skill kids HH: Seem to be on the uptick now. lots of numbers, Spread team NW: Hodge Podge last few years, mix of Double wing, wing t to spread, numbers were less than 50 last year I believe , Great facilities Western: Been big and physical last few years, Gun Single Wing with some Zone concepts, and spread concepts sprinkled in. Well coached, competitive program West Side Its been WL playground since 2015 RCHS: We run Double Tight Single Wing, return a significant amount of players and very nice Freshman class coming in BC: Workign on getting numbers and excitment up. Spread Team, those kids played hard for Coach Marsh last year, numbers and signafigant injuries have done them in last few years LCC: Very good as expected each year, Coach Nay runs a spread No huddle, check with me system, VERY GOOD QB, going on 4th year starting into 2021, as a SR. 6'5 last time I saw TL: Flipped from Wing T under Coach Mannering to Spread with Coach Saylers, we missed them this past year due to covid and I think only saw them once on film, but they seemed to have had a nice year statistically speaking last year Cheers
