Hoosier Conference 2023
Coach Nowlin replied to CoachDurham's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Husky Defense is NASTY, watching them play from a afar. 5 straight shutouts, playing a team that has been shutout 3 other times this year in SB Washington, (Jimtown, S.B. St. Joe, and S.B. Riley) Man, what a murderous Sectional 28 is. -

What is the Call?
Coach Nowlin replied to Warren05's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
How bout this gem Team A Kicks ball off in what is known as the classic KICKOFF, ball heads to the sidelines, heading to the pylon, TEAM B player runs towards the ball watching, TEAM B player ends up out of bounds, the ball is bouncing and the player reaches back in the field of play and grabs the ball while being completely out of bounds, at the 3 yards line. Where is the ball spotted ? (P.S. I knew this, but been a bit since I've seen it, and yes the crew got it right). @Yuccaguyand @Bobref are barred -

Who is the Pass Game Coordinator/WR coach there in Washington?? He will be a very good HC soon

Every coach has had moments where isn't going all that great, at times, but from the eye ball test, Lovie's teams played HARD and there was not much nonsense going on. I would put my coat on too if Brandon Marshall was talking....dude was a clown

The Bears started the 2012 season on a promising note with a 7–1 record. The team's defense ranked first in takeaways, third in points allowed, and fifth in yards allowed. However, the team lost five of their next eight games. The Bears finished the season with a 10–6 record, but missed the playoffs for the fifth time in six years. On December 31, 2012, Smith was fired as head coach of the Chicago Bears. Smith departed the Bears with nine years of service, three playoff appearances, one Coach of the Year award, and one Super Bowl appearance.[33] Prior to sitting out the 2013 season, Smith interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles[34] and Buffalo Bills[35] regarding their head coaching vacancies. Records Since 8-8 5-11 6-10 3-13 5-11 12-4 8-8 8-8 6-11 3-14 The Chicago Bears had a 74-104 record between the 2012 and 2022 seasons. 81-63 Smith began his head coaching career with the Bears in the early 2000s. Across nine seasons, he compiled a winning record of 81-63.

Thanks Pal Appreciate ya -
Fun matchup: Andrean has talented players but they are still very young, I want to say starting a few freshman on Defense even. QB is seasoned and good, they lost the D1 kid Clacks to who know what, I think he is in Illinois now these days Tough task for 59ers for sure

Hoosier Conference Question
Coach Nowlin replied to cpg1970's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Would Hoosier Heartland know what to do with a team that throws the ball 60 times a game!!!! Dem Bizun do a great job chucking it around the yard !!! -
Bears deserve all of this, called NFL KARMA, when you fire LOVIE after a 10-6 season when his teams played their nuts off for him, you get this disaster Also, somehow, someway, they continue to be a profitable business venture for me, which brings me to the point of, got my 3 tickets for XMAS eve game vs Arizona Cardinals, BIG BIG GAME THERE!! Come get some

My "Oh MY" Teams of the Week!
Coach Nowlin replied to Tippy's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I have watched film on Tippy Valley this year 1st thing 1st: What a shame, that TV has to drive by Monticello and West Lafayette to get to Northern Hamilton County for sectionals, just saying Now to the team itself, they are Senior loaded, 17 of 22 starters I believe Seniors. #4 is electric with ball in his hands, he I believe was state qualifier in 200 last spring, I can see why. Their OL is BIG and strong. They have a nice scheme of power running mixed with PA passes and utilizing their athletes Defense is nasty and brings it down hill. Final Thing Final: What a shame, that TV has to drive by Monticello and West Lafayette to get to Northern Hamilton County for sectionals, just saying -
my friends......how have you not even talked about the CHERRY ON TOP on what is this dumpster fire known as Chicago Bears...... https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10090467-bears-say-over-100k-of-maintenance-equipment-was-stolen-from-soldier-field

Hoosier Conference Question
Coach Nowlin replied to cpg1970's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Hoosier Conf next year is being split into 2 sides: Big/Small No longer will there be a crossover championship week Big School: Logansport, Western, West Lafayette, Hamilton Heights, Twin Lakes Small School: RCHS (we have I think 460 students right now) LCC, BC, Tipton I believe week 4 could be a rotating week for RCHS at least, 2 years beginning next year with WL in week 4, then after 2 years rotates to Western I think or Twin Lakes, etc. then Week 9, I think we are locked into Logansport each week. To deal with the shuffle, we are hitting the road next year to WOODSTOCK ILLINOIS, near the Wisconsin Border for a week 3 game and I want to say River Forest week 8 for a year. Not sure what we will be doing in 2 years in week 3 and 8 in future. I think WL snagged Lowell for a year As Tippy Valley was a stop gap all year this year for the Cass abrupt departure. Also, that 521 number was so inflated 2 years ago, we had a odd summer/fall, large migrant/transient family influx in the HS in the Fall, got us that number, then by xmas we were down under 500, poof. gone. Our 8th grade class this year is literally only 90 students I believe. We will be 2a for quite some time moving forward. -

You sir, forgot Baseball and softball fields as well. Don't just stop with Football in my community, where I gladly pay a nice tax rate, the entire 7 Girl softball fields were flipped to turf. Pretty sure many of the boys fields as well. I know a lot of HS up here in the 219 area code have turf infields. Saves a lot of rain outs from what I've heard -
Turf 2020 and Beyond

@btownqbcoach This message board system has something called a "REPORT" button, as many of the original members of the leadership team, Coach Adams, Jimmie, Dk, would tell folks back then, same as I used to do when I was in a computer lab for 13 years and had full on day of 20 plus tabs open and did the day to day around here, and just like my pal Irishman has done now that he has been most visible in this current era of GID; all you have to do is hit that little babysitting button we have here and ENTIRE team gets an email. Many times Irishman has gotten to it first, others have done there part many times in the shadows of our wonderful website that you have been a member of for many years before. Give it a try, if so feel the need, however, I must say, as the OP of this thread, you've received quite the attention here last 5-6 days. For that sir, you can say, thank you. 😀 For everyone else, I appreciated the info that was provided, and couldn't agree more, Bermuda is amazing to play on, I thank @foxbat team he is mostly associated with Lafayette Central Catholic, only school I've experienced it on. Its really really nice. We get a lot of compliments for our track of natural plush bushy grass here in middle of Jasper County. Practice field, well that builds character as @Muda69 would say. -

Here is what I find comical, literally @Muda69has been on this board for probably coming to 20 years, many of you who just went tit for tat with him fell right into message board drama 101. He posts an article BTW, I see nothing wrong with it personally, if NO ONE said a word about it, guess what would of happened......not 18 posts and 2 more pages of message board drama. Muda won that one fellas. Hook line sinker. Sidenote: congrats on future baby, always exciting.
