  1. HEY BOMBERS GET TO COME PLAY IN HNAC !!!! Bombers Jays LOCKING HORNS on MONDAY NIGHT !! Rivalry renewed !! This was all done in OUTRUNNER VOICE.
  2. My point was this: You have shrugged of Coach Cig accomplishments at Lower level schools and have said so far at IU proven nothing yet, and I am saying that there can only be 1 champion each year and if the standards for you is National Title or failure then a coach you love Jim Harbaugh would not have your respect if he stayed at Stanford.....he had to come to a blue blood (albeit his alma mater) to achieve that distinction. GREAT coaches are all around at ALL LEVELS, not being a national title winning coach shouldn't disqualify you as being GREAT. Finally, " SEC was cutting edge on what is now called NIL". What you meant to say was, SEC was the worse cheating conference when it came to paying players under the table. The next question is, are you okay with as you put it CUTTING EDGE SEC of the 90s' 00s, and yes Michigan and OSU had those Boosters as did EVERY blue blood program as done for DECADES.
  3. That is fair I also know that if you do ignore someone, you have the ability to click a button to "view" while still ignoring. I will say this, I was surprised that ND was able to rebound against Brohm Corp, however seems they got off to real slow start with gift points, it happens. Got tied up rest of my Saturday and missed the 2nd half. Questions I have for ND followers How has Kiser and Bowen been this year?
  4. I have no problem with Prime or Cignetti, and lets cut to the chase here: College Football along with Professional Football is FORMS OF ENTERTAINMENT, are not entertained each Saturday and Sunday?? I am. It's ok to disagree and your analogy you outlined above, I just don't buy, but that's ALSO ok. I do not see the parallelism As far as the other stuff.... been on these boards since my Sophomore year at Purdue, 1999, when topic would disappear at the end of the page......needless to say, I have seen it all, been part of the leadership team for over a decade now, this is what I see on the other nonsense......Internet community members who drag on feelings, stemming from YEARS, MONTHS, DAYS of disagreements, and instead of just being okay to disagree it lingers over and over and spills into everything. So choices are easy, IGNORE feature, (if you must) or simply have a better mindset that you can have healthy discourse without having feelings hurt. ONLINE personalities probably don't represent sitting at the bar and having these same conversations over nice fresh cold COCA COLA's amongst each other. That's the internet age we live in, with Social Media (like this site is a form of it) vs Real Life conversation in person. I believe MANY if not ALL our members if sat in same room and had these sports conversations it would be fruitful and fun. The downside of social media is the reader chooses how to interpret tone or assume what the post is meant to mean et al. Okay, I am going to ask for a 3rd time @temptation If Nick Saban stayed at Michigan St does he win National Title? If Jim Harbaugh stays at Stanford does he in win a national title? These great coaches had to go to what is known as Blue Blood Football programs to earn that distinction.
  5. I have no problem with your stance of opinion, I think it's wrong in the end but time will tell However, "attacked". Please. If you feel attacked then you're the classic can dish it but cry foul when it's thrown back or ...wait for it....dare challenges on an opinion Are we as a Community of sports fans not willing to have discourse in discussions without being so sensitive??
  6. if bothers you such, put him on ignore what's wrong with conversation?
  7. You added James Madison....not I..... SO I asked the same question as stated originally If Nick Saban stayed at Michigan St does he win National Title? If Jim Harbaugh stays at Stanford does he in win a national title? These great coaches had to go to what is known as Blue Blood Football programs to earn that distinction. It's a message board, where members engage with one another on various topics. In this case, Member Temptation, made clownish statements, in my opinion, as the opinion of others as well. This "HOT TAKE" has proven to be thus far FROZEN SOLID TAKE, and this has sparked conversation amongst MEMBERS , which is one of the key components of a MESSAGE BOARD where SPORTS are discussed. Its pretty simple So you have just admitted you spew nonsense because you enjoy being self anointed "most important guy here" award You can't have it both ways....... And for the record... you are no where NEAR or even in same atmosphere of DT, you are what we are call a pretender, not a contender. DT was HONEST in his assessments, conversations, you change to fit narratives you want, you post things for a reaction that you don't believe, that is what your statement above means. That is disappointing to me, but its cool, you do you Brah....... I personally have enjoyed the conversation back and forth on the topic of Coach Cig and his rise thus far, I have enjoyed the back and forth on it, it is OK to have a different opinion if its done with honest intentions, not to be some self proclaimed "HITS: count guy. Lame. Yawn.
  8. He is unbelievable man. Just reached out to us. Organizing funds for his good friends devastated in NC ..... He started a foundation this summer for his recently deceased mother, hoping to give back to other single mothers who sacrificed so much to provide for their children like Sophie did for him. Rode is bike from her gravesite in Rensselaer to Ocean in South Florida to put her ashes at her favorite beach/ocean. Proud to be invited to the event and to call him a dear friend
  9. Agree. Coach Sanders is different, however, one would look at IU success vs Colorado and I would give IU the edge on the coaching hire thus far. Coach Sanders has brought attention to a dead program, but can he sustain success by turning over rosters so much??
  10. If Nick Saban stayed at Michigan St does he win National Title? If Jim Harbaugh stays at Stanford does he in win a national title? These great coaches had to go to what is known as Blue Blood Football programs to earn that distinction. Yet Temp you downgrade Coach Cignetti for his accomplishments thus far in this conversation. Interesting to say the least
  11. Again, you choose to make remarks about this coach because you don't like his tag lines, yet you are ok with Michigan tag line under the guise of "locker room " News Flash....... EVERY SINGLE POWER 5 and probably below literally have SOCIAL MEDIA TEAMS following around teams for their CONTENT. EVERYONE.... No such thing as behind close doors. It's literally the same. if anything, you should applaud a coach like Coach Cig who is confident enough in his system and program building based on his track record willing to put it out there, then thus far, has been able to back it up with a current 5-0 start. What defines this "talkin out his ass"? That is an opinion, which you can have, just be ready to be rebunk when your opinion doesn't carry any value. You are the one offended by this coach and his approach, not I or others, so the burden to prove anything is not on I, like I have presented before, he does not have to be YOUR cup of tea, but to call him a clown, cite he was gonna be fired by 2026 and the other tangible thing you have stated was "Schools A,B,C Suck" at a glorified pep session, the tag line GOOGLE ME, and one other one....
  12. It was and something we haven 't seen very often in our fandom, that is for sure More to come !!!! #TrustTheProcess okay enough of that
  13. if you want to you can understand..... I did fix 2 errors in the 45 should of been, 145, and Bing was being..... You can read and understand the post I made if you choose to. Doesn't take a teacher or a rocket scientist to do so
  14. not dense..... and you know that 145-31 or whatever it is ......has earned the right to say what he wants and continues to have his players fighting with him, there is something to be said for that. Does he have to be your cup of tea, NOPE, but to not give him his roses thus far is just you being obtuse for the purpose of being "that guy". and that's cool too, just gonna show you the fallacy in that
  15. Thank You for specifically answering the question And I will double down and say again, I think it's refreshing approach to things......Coach Speak is overplayed and I get that you as a coach have to stay above water on it, but again, IU football history speaks for itself, so its refreshing seeing a guy who knows how to win, is a relative unknown to the B10, and midwest as a whole and say, "GOOGLE ME" next question. do you support Coach Harbaugh and his "tag line". .... WHO HAS IT BETTER THAN US" ?? @temptation
  16. Winners win...... Your "boy" was just as Arrogant at San Diego that he was when he was in Ann Arbor.......why does he get a pass? Oh, that's right, different set of standards for you and Michigan vs EVERYONE else, at least that would be the honest response. So you still haven't said anything specifically, so I will patiently wait Temp on what exactly he has done, or let rephrase it, How has he conducted himself SPECIFICALLY? Mr. Broad stroke brusher is too easy to say things without specific examples.
  17. @temptation Give me specifics examples of this "clown" reference from Coach Cig in your opinion? the ONLY thing I can think of is when he stated in front of a packed house at Assembly where he was just announced to where he got all riled up and said Purdue Sucks, and so does Michigan and So does Ohio State. to me that was refreshing, setting the tone that IU will no longer be everyone's punching bag. I can appreciate that. What is the theme?? Taking poor programs and making them into winners. IU was a poor program under Tom Allen, as mentioned not replacing great assistants was a downfall, the smoke and mirrors of whatever that covid year was..... These are the FACTS for Coach Cig..(love his nickname).
  18. We have been fortunate to have had a few players from Rensselaer get into some college coaching, one young man found himself tied in with Charlie Strong, Lville and Texas He came back to town we were talking one day, he swore up and down from his days as an Wabash All American to being in L'ville and Texas, that our staff was just as knowledgable coaching then anyone he has seen at his stops, the difference was who you know, and the fact that these guys get to work on their craft 80-100 hours a week and all that. He said Coach Strong had a good friend he Brought with him everywhere as a one the guys in the S&C program, he would just hang in the weight room all day and watch Netflix getting 6 figures....... Jason Simmons absolutely KNOWS offensive ball. that is not something that can be disputed in my opinion, as I have seen him in action, in chalk talks, etc. He played College ball at Miami OH, been around great HS programs and coaches and now working in this capacity. Rooting for my pal for selfish reasons (want Purdue not be the Purdue from last 5 weeks and all of last year) and for his own career
  19. Thank You,
  20. What is your record on the "Book it" or Bank it or many other proclamations?
  21. Knew when I listened to him at IFCA clinic that he was the PERFECT fit for IU and sad he wasn't at PU. Do you still think he is a "CLOWN" @temptation Perhaps NIL commitment like UNLV QB not coming to fruition? Just speculation.
  22. You may know a guy. 🙂 Exactly.....my dad used to tell me, Son, if your teachers or coaches are not picking on you then they don't like you.....
  23. Wishing Coach Simmons the best in this new role, quite the rocket ship he is on since leaving BD 2 years ago, rooting for my buddy to right the ship here next few weeks !!!
