  1. South Newton’s is rather small. To the disappointment of some, they ain’t going nowhere...
  2. Just messing around--a good friend of mine lives in Chesterton. Russtoleum is fine, I just got into it a few years ago with a few of their fans, and since I'm a bitter old man, I can't let go. Don't know the Mishawaka score will be, but I wish all the Region teams not named Morton (kidding--go Govs) luck!!!
  3. I didn't as I ride Metra--the way to really fly... But I can attest to your point, two of my neighbors have kids that go there.
  4. Absolutely not! My train goes right by Mt. Carmel High School in the Chicago where the Caravan were engaged in morning practice, none of them appeared to be dying...
  5. Merrillville--Public School on I-65--yes I'm that bored today...
  6. Thanks for sharing, and Boiler up! I agree, Philips and Simeon do have the talent, but depth and even coaching are lacking. Crete-Monee and West Lafayette (both a little smaller) hooked up for a home-and-home a few years ago. How about these potential matchups? Penn-Maine South Cathedral-Mt. Carmel Carmel-New Trier Columbus East-Nazareth Academy Fishers-Hinsdale South South Newton-Schurz (sorry, had to get that one in, as an ex-girlfriend of mine went there)
  7. All 3 are great conferences. I read the Chicago papers on my commute into the Loop on a daily basis and see a portion of their sports section cover the local high schools. With that, I can't help but wonder how teams such as Carmel, Fishers, or Homestead would fare in Illinois conferences like the ones of Homewood-Flossmoor, Oak Park, and New Trier...
  8. I think I know where that was from... SN football, just like all sports in God's country, is very cyclical...
  9. you better believe it!!! Start looking for airbnbs in Pasadena...
  10. I concur. In the Northwest Crossroads Conference, Andrean is the lone private school to the 5 others. Do they dominate? No, but they usually are pretty good and Dan Dakich was a Niner...
  11. Should be quite a year. I'm still amazed the Bears were able to get a good coach as I think he is the goods. I also like the Packers hiring LaFleur--they actually get along! I consider myself more obnoxious than a meathead...
  12. Florida in the summer, a little to humid for me, I prefer the UP of Meat Chicken...
  13. I saw that on hammerandrails.com. Much better from a competitive standpoint as he'll most likely be going up against teams such as DeMatha (MD), Oak Hill (VA), and Bishop O'Gorman (Vegas Baby). This is a good thing.
