    In Lowell, I like McVey's. A new place, Dickey's Dogs, just opened up. Real long lines though. Mi Ranchito is also very good, lest we never forget the truck stop!

    As I look down from my perch upon the roof of the state, I can't help but be happy for this. I just wonder what the remaining Big 8 schools will do. I hope you guys figure it out--the games there are always fun to watch.

    It seems almost hard to believe with this horrible weather we've been experiencing... I've got a golf outdoing in South Bend coming up and don't know if I should put my snorkel in my bag.

    No kidding--hug it out!!! I've said it before, some teams will have some considerable distances to travel while others won't. I still don't feel any team was singled out. We all must be science nerds and accept this...

    Yes, they did a good job. I know it's unfortunate for certain teams, though.

    It is. And, unfortunately if you pull two school in different quadrants and put them together, there will be a ripple effect statewide... Math, Science, and Geography in this case suck!!!

    "Risk minimization" is a very key term. It seems like injuries are even more common in blowouts.

    Nothing we can do about it now. I don’t think it’s the IHSAA’s intent to slight any team, but rather their quadrant model. Best of luck to all.
