Fairfield's offensive line had Luers D Line on its heals most of the night. I watch helmets. I saw Luers helmets most of the night which means they were being pushed back and controlled. Could pose major problems if Pioneer is similar to Fairfield.
Do you mean Eastside?

The SAC is a heckuva conference but it’s a mystery to an extent as to how good it is at the top until several weeks into playoffs.
With that, both Concordia and Luers surviving amongst the sharks in the SAC always means they are solid and battle proven.....regardless of record.
That August 28 Homestead/Concordia score of 7-0 tells me most everything I need to know and fear (as a dumb fan, admittedly) about just how well Concordia can play.
Homestead is only 2 games away from playing in the 6A State Championship....yet Concordia took them to the wire.
One reason the top of the SAC has trouble later in the tourney is their biggest school is 20th in the state in enrollment.

Oh come on are you telling me kids transfer from private schools to public schools? I thought it was a one way street. 😁

Depends on who u talk to..others have stated Luers is on the decline..id never count them out..others..not so much
Luers starting lineup is made up of some juniors and a lot of sophomores. They will be upclining instead of declining in the next few years.

Is Luers best overall player Sir Hale out for the season?

Agreed. They were very lucky to come out of there with a W. They’ll be overmatched vs Tipton next week. The Blue Devils are the real deal.
They struggled at home vs. Lapel and Lapel was ranked well below Fairfield and especially Eastside. If Luers doesn't shore up their defense it might be a problem.

It’s certainly not what it was 15-20 years ago no, but still much more competitive than the other local conferences.
15-20 years ago there were 3 teams that were consistently good, Snider, Dwenger and Luers the rest would pop up every few years. Now with the addition of Homestead and Carroll the SAC is not only better now but when Snider rebounds (which they will) the SAC will be a lot better than 15-20 years ago. Just my opinion.

Warsaw at Homestead
North Side at Dwenger
Norwell at Concordia
Eastside at Luers

Depends on whether or not Sir Hale plays

Why would you give up that advantage if you don't need to?
Perhaps you should have a 'Coke and a smile' and bring it down a few notches....
Sorry it just sounded personal when you said "when it comes to Luers."

It's called "reality". If you think Covid 19 discussions are just "meaningless ramblings", then you are the biggest fool on this message board.
I agree. I go onto a Covid-19 message board and talk about high school football and boy do they get upset. 😷

Is Concordia considered a part of FWCS? Hoping they will still host a limited amount of fans at home games?
No.

Thanks for whoever edited the subject of my original topic. I wasn't smart enough to do it myself. Apologies for misinterpreting the story.

I predict the Liptons guy will be upset if someone says something about Liptons he doesn’t like. You can’t question Liptons. STATE LAW!
So the Lipton guy is not your cup of tea.

Unranked Luers (4-6) at Ranked Fairfield (9-0)?

Extra revenue for our athletic departments in Fort Wayne seems "silly"? Better competition equates to better teams and longer runs in the tournament. More games equals more revenue. Better competition equals more revenue. The economic impact of a Homestead/Westfield matchup would be far greater than Homestead/South Side.
Do what's best for the fans. Greed corrupts and destroys.

Carroll at Warsaw
Snider at Homstead
Northrop at North Side
Anderson at Dwenger
South Side at Marion
Wayne at Delta
Concordia at Oak Hill
Luers at Fairfield

New Haven struggles to compete in the NE8. They should without a doubt be the team to beat in the NE8, but other than 2016 they have been another stepping stone for EN or Leo. Putting them in the SAC would just see them go under .500 every single year.
Location wise it definitely makes sense for them to be in the SAC, but from a competitive standpoint they would never win a conference title. Since 1994 they have won 0 NHC titles and 2 NE8 titles (1 of those being shared with Leo and EN.)
Will the best team win or the team with the easiest schedule.

No. I’m saying the SOS and other ratings are jacked up if u play in a closed conference. Once the conference plays outside then the ratings correct. At least that is how I understand it.
And to think there are still people who want use these rankings to seed the playoffs. smh.

Luers has a ton of talent returning next year but so does Eastside who Luers barely beat.
