Hammond could name the school after certain posters on this board who constantly seek attention. Ladies and gentleman I give you the Hammond Trolls.

I Don't know who said this but there was a coach who didn't like it when team was hit with a 15 yard penalty and yelled "you stink" to the ref. The ref marched off 15 more yards and said to the coach "how do I smell from here?"

Not American football but English soccer. Long before concussion protocol rules a player got knocked out. While getting treatment on the sideline the coach approached the trainer and asked about the player. He said how is he and the trainer said the player doesn't know who he is. The coach replied "tell him he's Pele and get back in there."

A lot of kids could be covid-19 vaccinated for what it cost to build these extravagant high school turf fields. It's just a game played by children.
With the money turfs saves in maintenance it's a no-brainer that they would have even more money for other things.

Im sure I know why. The NE8 doesnt want ghetto schools in its lilly white conference. Thats too bad. Doesnt say much about our diversity movement, does it?
Now you're thinking!

Doesnt the administration at Northside and Southside owe it to the student athletes to place them in a conference where they can be competitive and have a chance for some success?
The entire FW city football structure is negatively influenced by the Rod Woodson-Snider recruiting connection that poaches the best players from throughout the city. Seems like the only time we here North and South having some success is when a top notch coach comes in , improves the program, and then leaves after 2 or 3 years for greener pastures.
I guess if North and South dont care about won-loss records, individual or team achievement, or putting their kids into the best possible environment to have some success, then they should just stay where they are and remain cannon fodder for the big guns in the conference.
I dont like it. Its not right, and its not fair to those kids.
It's The other way around. The NE 8 will never let them in and if you don't know why then it would do me no good to explain it to you.

These two schools will always be at a big competitive disadvantage against the big SAC publics (Snider/Homestead/Carroll/Northrup) and the privates (Concordia/Luers/Dwenger) They should both leave the SAC and look for a better conference fit where they can be more competitive and have some consistent success.
Perhaps a swap between the Northeast 8 and th SAC. East Noble and Huntington North come to the SAC and FW South and North go to the NE8. The move would be good for both conferences
North and South joining the NE 8 will never ever ever happen.

Is it just NAIA or is D3 playing as well? I know it is probably, would be nice to have so TV coverage as well.
D3 basketball tournament cancelled this spring. The finals were supposed to be held in Fort Wayne.

I would bet you, that Marian and St. Francis in most years would beat UIndy and Butler and compete with ISU. SO Yes in your thinking of their classification, you are right, but in terms of talent.... I disagree.
St. Francis hammered Butler on multiple occasions And in one meeting with ISU St. Francis won 41-10.

Former Snider legend Rod Woodson held a camp at Snider from 1994 to 2008 in which he brought in fellow pro's as instructors. There were always rumors that he steered kids toward Snider but nothing ever came of it because it was a public school like Tri-West.

Interesting... This got me to thinking about how that all went down, but it's been long enough ago that I don't trust my memory so much lol. New Haven and Woodlan, yes. I believe a fair amount might have also started going to Heritage. They were neighboring school districts back in the day, and the drive from the S/SE area of Harding's district to Heritage was not a long one at all. Almost every year I was at Heritage (early-mid 80's) we would get a few Harding kids who got in trouble and expelled for the semester attend Heritage, until the suspension was over.
Some could have very well gone to Leo, but man that looks like a long haul from the SE suburbs and further out.
Some ended up at Luers due to it being a lot closer than the public schools they were assigned.

I agree with you on this. I would like to blame Under Armour as they are one of the biggest abusers of the alternate jersey colors.
But the blame probably falls to Nike and Oregon for the multiple jersey/pant combos. I think they were the originators.
YAWN... Sorry but not a fan of the boring or boring people.

I would also advise Coach Morales that its just not cool to wear blue jeans on the sidelines while coaching varsity football games. Its not a good look. Coaches shorts in August and September and on to Harbaugh style Khakis and a New Haven Jacket or Pullover would be a much sharper look.
Fashion Queens would say the same thing about Bill Belichick. Unless you are his wife or mom it's none of your business what anyone wears.

Although Snider is moving down to 5a, I still think eliminating a couple of the bottom tier teams and replacing them with stronger opponents would still serve both them and the Saints in their pursuit of hoisting that 5a state championship trophy.
But this is really becoming more and more about Homestead and Carroll since they are in 6a for good. I attribute their success against Snider the past couple of years to them joining the SAC five years ago and elevating their level of play to that of the Summit. To do the same thing on a statewide level, they'll need to open their schedule to new opponents.
So the SAC lets Homestead and Carroll join the conference when no one else wanted them and now you want them to dictate policy in the conference.

Luers could compete some, if not most years with East Noble and Leo. I just don't see either team wanting to add a 2A school to the schedule. EN has a tendency to schedule up when adding new teams, examples: Warsaw, Penn, Mishawaka and Cathedral.
Luers and Leo played each other in 2013 and 2014.
