  1. I’ve never seen it done. In this case, they keep referring to it as a “fair catch” kick. Strictly speaking, it wasn’t a fair catch. It was an “awarded” fair catch, because of the kick catching interference foul.
  2. Snowing in South Bend now, but supposed to stop by noon. Game time weather: 27 deg. with winds out of the North at 11 mph.
  3. A contrary argument is that administration of intravenous fluids to a minor for competitive purposes, rather than medical necessity, is unethical. By all means, if a kid needs IV fluids he should get them. But if he needs that sort of medical intervention, he’s not going back in the ballgame.
  4. I just need it to last about 15 more years. 😂
  5. Transfer portal open only 48 hrs. and Alabama DB grad transfer DeVonta Smith, the Tide’s starting nickel this past season, is headed to Notre Dame. Need to bolster that secondary to try and fill the hole left by X when he heads to the NFL. https://portal.rivals.com/news/notre-dame-lands-alabama-grad-transfer-db-devonta-smith
  6. Perhaps there should be a temporary closure of the portal during bowl season, until after the playoffs.
  7. I guess this was inevitable. May signal the beginning of the end for Bowls, other than those involved in the CFP. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2024/12/14/marshall-football-independence-bowl-army-opt-out-charles-huff/76992687007/
  8. Marcus Freeman just signed a 4 year extension. He is now under contract until 2030. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/42990942/notre-dame-coach-marcus-freeman-lands-long-term-extension

  10. You need to look up the definition of “obsess.”
  11. Just celebrate the young man. He’s worth it. Rain on the parade some other time.
  12. Muda, the ever-present turd in the punch bowl.
  13. The kid from the little 1A school has turned out to be a star … on so many levels. CONGRATULATIONS JACK KISER! Jack Kiser, Cass County's 2019 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient continues to make all of Cass County proud. Kiser, a Royal Center, Indiana, native is now the 20th Notre Dame NFF National Scholar-Athlete to be inducted into the Hall of Fame during ceremonies in Las Vegas last night. Jack already has two degrees: graduating with his baccalaureate degree in three years in May 2022, majoring in business analytics and earning a master's of accountancy in 2023. He is currently pursuing further graduate education. Jack earned the Tom Frecka Academic Achievement Award for posting the top GPA (3.97) in the entire Notre Dame Master of Accountancy program. A member of the 2024 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, Kiser claimed the Dean's Graduate Business Award. Jack has also lead the fighting Irish football as a defensive Captain this year and is a finalist for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy honoring collegiate football players who also excel off the field in leadership and community service. Congratulations Jack and the Kiser family!
  14. Again, you simply don’t get it. Notre Dame will never not play Navy. You don’t know the story, but it’s well documented. Do 5 min. of research.
  15. Haters gonna’ hate. They hate us … because they ain’t us. 😂🤣😅
  16. On this, we are in agreement.
  17. The point was, I’ll see your Brady Hoke, and raise you a Gerry Faust. 🤣😂
  18. NBC holds the rights to both ND and B1G football. “Notre Dame is expected to receive around $50 million per year from NBC, in addition to the $17 million it receives from the ACC. Notre Dame’s total compensation is slightly less than what members of the Big Ten would receive.” https://www.ndsmcobserver.com/article/2023/11/notre-dame-extends-tv-contract-with-nbc-through-2029#:~:text=On Saturday%2C Notre Dame and,the Big Ten would receive.
  19. Guess who was coaching Notre Dame when they beat Michigan in 1982. 😂🤣😅
  20. You’ve demonstrated with this that you don’t know what you’re talking about.
  21. I’ll take “likely,” even if it’s “not always.”
  22. My point is this is not a new defensive philosophy you’ve come up with here. Teams have been doing that for the last 12 weeks. And the Irish are still #10 in the country in rushing. To some extent, this game is strength on strength. ND’s rushing offense against IU’s rushing defense. Especially if there’s typical South Bend Dec. 20 weather. I’m not too concerned about IU’s pass offense against the Irish. I know their QB is good. But their pass offense isn’t in the top 50, and the Irish pass defense is #3 in the country. Bad weather, low scoring game decided, as they usually are, in the trenches.
  23. Not much of a comparison. ND rush offense is #10 in the country. Ohio State is #59.
  24. With all due respect … shut your piehole!

    IU 2024

I usually park in the neighborhood south of campus. Then hoof it through the tailgaters in the lots south of the stadium. Lots of parking north of the campus, and they shuttle bus to the stadium.
