I completely agree. No field that has a steady stream that flows rapidly or anything that comes or goes in a steady stream and in large numbers on it should host a tournament game. Now, if we are talking about fields that have poor field conditions, well then that's a whole different discussion.

I'm also confused on why he is a CG kid? Did he ever attend a CG school? How about play in their bantam league? No? So how's he a CG kid again? Also, help me understand again how it's knocking the Rams because if they had a kid who probably wouldn't have allowed those shenanigans go on? By the way, what happened to the kid that ended up telling the administration about those said shenanigans? Heard he was the only senior who didn't get on the field during senior night this season and the new coach thanked him when he chose to leave the team afterwards. Cathy will always be a class above the dumpster fire on Prague in more ways than on the football field.

If McCahill had gone to Roncalli he would have been three year starter instead of Leffler playing since he was a freshman. I personally know Nathan and spoke with him today about this and his response is exactly who he is as a young man. "I don't care about individual awards, the only thing that I really cared about was state and we won so to me that's all that matters." If you knew this kid at all you couldn't be happier for him and his family. Even at the state game when interviewed the first thing out of his mouth was a compliment to his offensive line and then about the rest of the team. He is a true leader and Cathedral was lucky to have him be a part of that locker room. If you ask any coach or player, Nate made the locker room a place where egos were checked at the door and you could not tell Cam Jordan from the fourth string sophomore that couldn't even sniff the scout team. I could only imagine with the locker room shenanigans that the Roncalli Rams have had over the last few years they could have used a young man like Nathan McCahill, but like you said, it is what it is.

They're are kids. One of those things they think is dumb but don't understand the purpose which originally started as a "wake-up" call to the special teams players. Just something they have always done, except they did take a break during Streiff's first run as coach but O'Hara restarted it when Streiff left for North Central in the early 2000's.

As with most everything that Cathedral does, it is a tradition. They have been doing this since the 1970's.

The coach is a very good friend of Coach Peebles and they're celebrating Mass so it should narrow it down for you.

Boys will be arriving much earlier than 45 minutes. They are leaving at 1:00 pm and will be arriving at another Evansville HS where they will be having a team meal and Mass prior to having a walk through for everyone to loosen up after the 3 hours on the buses. Then getting dressed and making the short bus ride to Castle for the game. No lag or let down this time around.

I can promise you the boys are not looking past Decatur Central. The scouting report from their coaching staff to their defense was all the motivation our offensive line needed. Still wondering why their players would share that with our boys, but thanks for the motivation coach.

Terre Haute South only gave us 150 tickets and there is a travel/dress list that is being listed today. If your son makes the dress list, you are able to purchase tickets. If there are still tickets remaining after this evening, they will be sold to the players who do not make the dress list. Peebles also said that TH South will be streaming the game. A CG fan cry afoul when they kept around 80% of the tickets for themselves for our game?!? There are some great people down in CG, but some are just complete knuckleheads that have no clue what the hell they're talk about.
