6a and 5a fields

Pretty sure that lease has been discussed, but the length of that lease is where the discussion has become stalemate. Cathedral wants the lease to be long enough where they are comfortable investing in the property, install turf and such. Not sure if this is even actively being discussed any longer. -
Cathedral at Bishop Chatard

Did you really just say that Cathedral's defense is "less talented"? I would love to know who you are comparing them to, certainty not the south side dumpster fire on Prague? Even better how they start six juniors, which only two of them had any significant playing time last year and every other player that rotates in is either a junior or sophomore. The five seniors that start are it on the defense side of the ball. This defense is very talented and will only get better as the season progresses. -

Cathedral has received 200 tickets and each players family have the opportunity to purchase two tickets. -
This one is a hard pill to swallow. A group of us Dad's who currently have boys on the team, just had a conversation about this upcoming season. Mario's name just kept coming up about how he was going to be such a great leader with such a young secondary coming back. It's still just such a shock and the fact that this young man truly played so much larger than his size. Fly high Mario! We will get you that state title you told all the boys you were going to lead them to! W.I.N.

Roncalli administration won't do it. From what I have heard Coach Streiff did reach out but nothing back from them. -

Don't forget Owen Green. Another Sophomore that had himself a heck of a game Friday night, two huge sacks and the last one I believe sealed the win. Sad Booker and Curry get all the attention on a very talented defensive line. -
The sophomore lineman that is 6'5" 307 lbs. and pulls to open up huge holes, you might be counting him out pretty early. We also have another couple of sophomore lineman that are 6'5" and 6'4" that have played their fair share this postseason. We will have what I would guess will be the biggest line in the state the next two seasons.

I do have a question for the New Pal base. How many players do you have that play both ways? Since you team has really only played one game that was still competitive at the start of the 4th quarter and that was in week 2, do you believe this will have any impact playing against a physical team? I know your boys are tough, but hitting and getting hit every play for four solid quarters has to eventually wear you down. This is the one thing I have though all season.

2019 all things 5A
IndplsCathedral_Dad replied to MuleDriver's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Thank you for your kind words and look forward to what I believe is the most anticipated high school football game in quit some time. I am just glad I have some skin in the game and have a son that has the opportunity to play against a great team in New Pal. Since New Pal has had such a great run under Coach Ralph, this will be one of those old tales as he ages and talks about how he was a part of the Irish team that was able to take down the Dragon dynasty, if the Irish are able to do so. Only in literature would it be so perfect to have the most traditionally rich program in Indiana high school football end the two year run of the mighty New Pal Dragons. Best of luck to both teams, but a little more to the Irish!
