  1. Probably be a while yet....Yorktown is just over 800 students and GS is just over 700. You would need over 100 more kids, which as fast as the community is growing, could happen pretty fast, but that would be quite a bit.
  2. I said "south of Indy". I'm not overlooking them. Great wins and great programs.
  3. I hope GS brings this back south. They will be the first public school since we won state in 2000 to bring this south of Indy. 20 years, since a public wins south of Indy....seriously guys....WIN. I won't speculate on a score, but I think Brefeuf MUST score at least 30 to even have a shot. GS will surely score a minimum of 35 points. I don't say it often but GO TITANS! Regardless, great season.
  4. I had this conversation the other day. This years team reminds me of that 2015 team. I'd like to see those teams play. They are different in location of the main players, but same in attitude and grit.
  5. That's cute....we just had a kid (football player) that lost half his leg farming. He is continuing to farm and planning to be on the football team next year.
  6. There was a farm here in Spencer County that went for 8500/acre a couple years back....I thought they had to be crazy.
  7. Indeed, his "give a crap" was broke a long time ago. He had that same attitude in high school. To this day (20 years now), I haven't personally seen a high school athlete that could do what he could do on both sides of the ball. Anymore, most these guys don't even play both sides, even in little schools like us. He was ridiculous at baseball as well.
  8. You should have seen Jay Cutler on the defensive side. He was more fun to watch there than as a QB.
  9. Indeed, but this year Chatard is having an "off" year for Chatard. They are experiencing in 4A what Southridge did in 3A...a down year after success. I'd like Chatard to stay in 4A, but looks like they will be back to be a thorn in the side. That 2019 Chatard team was off the charts. I would have much rather had this years Chatard than the 2019 Chatard....at least we could have been competitive. With that said, if they were in 3A this year, it wouldn't be shocking if they were still playing, even when "down" they are a factor in the postseason. I'll say it again--BEAT TRI WEST!
  10. Indeed. We are 1 - 6 against Chatard. Sadly, 2 of those games we lost we felt like we had the better team, they just weren't better that day when it mattered. It is nice that they are out....GS has at least one thing to count as a blessing. 2019 there was no question who the better team was....they would have played with the winner of 5 or 6 that year....oh well, back to normal programming. Beat Tri West!
  11. I don't remember the Hendershot, but I remember that they completely dominated Andrean. That was disappointing because our game with them was very close and we likely would have done the same thing to Andrean....maybe.
  12. Last time we ran into Tri-West was 2014. That was when Mac Dutra played...absolute animal. I haven't seen too many kids that were that big AND that fast. We lost at home 14-6. They went on to win state. Tradition doesn't win football games, but TW has a bunch of it. Good program. Should be a decent game. I think after the nail biter Saturday, GS may be looking to lay the smack down this week.
  13. You sure, I thought it was 28...oh well. After rereading that, it may have sounded snarky. It was not meant to be disrespectful. Again, read back in your response, it could be taken like i'm being snarky. I will say, however, that you have to admit that the pressure is on GS, no? I am on your side now! I want the PAC Brethren to bring that hardware south! It isn't often I say go Titans, but for the next few weeks, that is what it is going to be...go Titans indeed. Lawrenceburg has got to be tired of going to the regional and losing to the PAC....chances are, it will be 3 years in a row for them. Again, don't hear any disrespect. This is the problem with words on a screen....this would be a better conversation in the parking lot saturday afternoon over kool aid and hot dogs.
  14. Indeed, good point. Fact is that historically speaking, this is a "normal" thing for Lawrenceburg. GS would like to get a similar tradition started, like that of Lawrenceburg's (or ours, or yours), they have a crap ton to lose. It would be awful to lose when they have what they have. Coach Wilk said the same thing of the game....pressure isn't on us, it is on GS.
  15. I remember it being Friday. I mean I travelled to all those games, guess I have slept too much since then....point remains. We travelled 3 hours for every game except sectional and waxed these opponents.
  16. Nah, in 2019 we beat them 28-0 after travelling 3 hours on a Friday night.
  17. I figure with this game being on Saturday, everybody will be good and ripe by kickoff.
  18. It doesn't matter. The idea of "we have to keep GS off the field" is a worthless thought. GS scored 60 pts on Southridge in 13 minutes in the regular season. Our DBs have to play flawlessly. D can't get bigger, they have to get meaner. We had 165 lb D lineman 15/20 years ago that committed homicide every play on guys that were 100 lbs bigger. That is the attitude needed Friday.
  19. Yup, great idea--then you get burnt on a 9 route that goes to the house. I'll pass on that....#18 would love some of that action as would the 270 lb lineman.
  20. If we are doing predictions, they will let us have the ball, just as we will give them the ball if we win the toss.
  21. Indeed....but if you were really good at this, who will be throwing this said pass???? The game all expected and most wanted.....I'm looking forward to heading to Jack Jewell.
  22. I will get to observe for myself this Friday night, but how fast is Rory? Actual 40 time? In the objective numbers, where is he at?
  23. I think that may have been a Patriot worm virus? No?
