  1. So to swap back to more of what I'll refer to as a "Sellers Offense" should be fairly easy?
  2. I would hate to have to be that guy....the next guy after this guy, sure, but not the one to step in right after #18. I mean even if you are above average, you aren't going to be #18.
  3. I heard GS stole him from Memorial. To be honest, from my view this fall we will be ok...should be a 1 or 2 loss team in regular season and somewhat competitive for sectional. 2023 and 2024 we should be VERY good.
  4. Hey, give us a shot here on the big side...that tall skinny kid will be wearing black and gold this fall.
  5. Yeah, I knew they played Tell City. SS would be a good matchup for them for sure. Southridge will be rough no doubt. But it happens...
  6. How does Tecumseh stack up in the small side of the PAC?
  7. That wasn't the implication. Washington wouldn't want to jump from the frying pan to the fire. this was just make believe anyway. By the way, Washington's current middle school squad is good.
  8. There is NOTHING to this...but I like 812's thinking...nice conversation piece, although I'd want to swap out Washington.
  9. We have had more athletic QBs since Logan, but I'm not sure we have had a better QB since Logan. In the last decade of quarterbacks (again, not running QBs), he is likely the best one we have had in this last decade. And yes, that was a fun year. shoulda, woulda, coulda, but we should have won state that year. I guess you know that feeling.....
  10. Indeed, I haven't forgotten the Scheller/Sellers boys, they were all tough. To be honest, I really envy the development of the QB as GS. In case anyone wasn't paying attention, we typically ask the question, "who is our most athletic senior?", CONGRATS you are the QB! Sometimes that is the answer, but most the time, if you want to make deep runs, you must develop the young guy. We have a current freshman that I would think would be the go to guy, and a 7th grader that could take over right after him. Gut says it won't happen.
  11. Congrats 18. Boiler UP! I going to enjoy you in the Black and Gold MUCH more (instead of dropping dimes on us)!!! Kid deserved it.
  12. Don't be a jackass and develop a sense for sarcasm. I bet you are a ton of fun at parties.
  13. Really? Personally I have never had to worry about whether or not I would be Mr.Football, but you leave high school and life goes on. Bigger and better things. IF you make it (big IF), I just can't see that you would be real bitter about not winning Mr. Football.
  14. If you are playing at OSU or any other program that could be a stepping stone to the league, I doubt you would care about winning Mr. Football. I will say it again, we will find out who Mr. Football is in about 5 years. If #18 becomes an elite QB I am going to unleash a big fat "I told you so." by the way, i realize that these kids are still a million miles away from the NFL.
  15. LOL....Memorial folks themselves said here back in '19 that they were glad they were in 4A or they wouldn't have been celebrating if they were in 3A. That didn't originate with me, but with Memorial folks. As for Chatard, some of those folks stated that the '19 team was the best they had had in a decade...again, their words, not mine. As for me, am I glad that a stellar Memorial team was not in 32 for us to have to get through in addition to a tough GS team? Like you said, it is what it is. I believe that P/P should have to play up anyway, but the rules in Indiana are what they are and until they are changed we just have to get bigger, stronger, faster. Take it from one who is 1 - 6 against Chatard....we don't make excuses when we lose to them (well some 'round here do), we instead have to get back to work and improve until the rules change, which they won't. I would have rather had this years Chatard team to play than the '19 team, but that is the way it goes. The unfortunate fact for those of us in public po dunk is that to win state we need guys named Jay and Brady (with a solid crew around them)--once in a generation for our schools. We don't get those guys every year, but every now and then, in a good program you can take a group of skinny, nasty, country boys (and a few big hungry ones) and make a solid run and have your opportunity to play for it all. To be honest, in 3 years, I hope our path goes through Memorial and Chatard....I think we may be able to give them both a solid game.
  16. I can promise you that Memorial is glad they were in 4A in 2019, or they wouldn't have been celebrating another state title. TBH, I'm glad we didn't have to deal with that 2019 Memorial team, but would still like to see those 2 teams play.
  17. I see you are from Tri-west....if you kid's last name is Dutra, WELCOME TO LINCOLN CITY! Just kidding, we would welcome any kid from such a stellar program as Tri-West.
  18. I'd like to see Regionals thrown in that metric....only because we have double digit regionals and it would give us a bit of a boost. So to be honest, totally selfish on my part. over the next 3-4 years we should improve these numbers with a couple deep runs, hopefully at least 1 to LOS. The expectation is a back to back trip to LOS in a few years. Hopefully Chatard stays in 4A! Oh, and just a jab to throw in, Lawrenceburg is 0-3 against the PAC for the last 3 years.
  19. If Brady was in Indy and carried these numbers it would be obvious who would get this. Too bad we can't revisit this conversation in about 5 years. It is at that point we find out who Mr. Football is.
  20. LOL....there was quite a bit in this thread that didn't age well. Indeed....a 35-3 run put that baby to bed. Congrats to the Titans! First public 3A south of Indy to win state since we did in 2000. Glad it's back, and back in the PAC!
  21. Dude. Are you kidding...Dutra was an animal. Left an impression on me and over the last 20+ years of paying attention to high school football, he is one that I'm not sure I will forget any time soon. You don't see many kids in high school that size that can move like that.
  22. I'm not saying that it will be a blowout. I believe it will be close, I would just offer that BJ corners likely haven't dealt with anything quite like this. The offense moves the ball quick, and they score quick. When coach says, "you can't allow the big plays", the problem with that is that is what they do, all the time. "We got to keep their offense off the field". Again, they can score 50+ in 15 minutes. GS is not Cathedral....I'm not delusional, but they are really, really impressive and a crap ton of fun to watch (unless they are playing us).
  23. Wow. That is serious growth. We are going the other way, but this is the current state of pretty well all rural areas that aren't at least close to a city.
