    They play on October 25th - I would think if this is where they actually end up going that they both would be red shirted, but time will tell.

    It appears that Yates wouldn't be eligible to play until week 5 or 6 under the new rule. Several years ago, we had a basketball xfer from Central that was supposed to be the greatest thing on the planet, I can't remember if he ever played. We will see....I did see that Yates has some very impressive track times. He is an athlete for sure. He used to wear #3--he will need to find a new number! 😂

    On the list of fears that anybody may have of HH this season, I'd argue that wouldn't be close to the top. I am throwing no shade on the kid above, I have no idea of his abilities--for all I know he may show up week 1 for his first practice and challenge Jett for his spot.

    I asked my son about him and his initial response was "who's that?" I explained and he said, oh, I've heard of him.... He hasn't been at workouts, my kid (a senior) hasn't seen him. He said he doesn't even know if he is playing. Time will tell I guess.

    Negative. But if you look at what would be the "biggest" offer, Jett has an offer from Ole Miss and Ty has an offer from Oklahoma.

    I literally had this conversation about 15 minutes ago. There are quite a few more significant programs that have extended the offer.

    Indeed, high school rankings don't account for some things. We have some lineman that are going to have to step up in some very big ways if we are going to do any justice to that top spot. Then, you never know if a highly recruited kid is going to do what Gavin Wimsatt did and not play his senior year, graduate early and head off to school. That's always a possibility.

    Indeed. A kid that has been playing since 3rd grade flag and doesn't miss a summer practice vs the kid that doesn't show to a single summer workout and has his first full pad practice week 1. I've seen it happen, it shouldn't but it does. This is high school.

    I got that plus a 1988 Toyota Camry to sweeten the deal. Gibson Southern has already tried that with a girl. Still dating the GS girl, but still at HH....for now...

    Well the rumors on SS game getting dropped didn't happen. Maybe next year..... Sorry for the poor edit, looks like a 5 year old with finger paint, I didn't want to assume the sectional. It should be obvious, but you never know what the IHSAA might do.

    I wouldn't ever count SR out. This is bittersweet for me. While I'm excited about the prospect of competing for a 4a sectional and that being history, I will miss playing with the rivals.

    Yeah, I'll say misunderstanding, not exaggeration. I was told that they had dorms, and when I was there it appeared that they indeed did. What would the world do without fact checkers?

    This is the exact conversation that I had with the buddy I went with to that week 2 game against CAL. We both gave the edge to CAL though....

    The CAL game is one I'd like to have back. I'm not saying we would necessarily win it, but I think we are more competitive in a rematch. Cathedral and Chatard got nothing on these guys--they have dorms! Indiana Catholics need to step it up! But to your point, it was said long before the playoffs: 1. Sectional 32 is better than the ENTIRE north 2. Whoever wins 32 wins state.

    That comment "spectacular" was directed toward the 03 HH team. All those teams were great and it would have been something if Chatard was not a factor.
