Cathedral could certainly win. My fear is that Ben Davis is going to make Cathedral one-dimensional and Cathedral isn't going to get enough stops. I see a higher scoring affair but with Cathedral playing catch up most the game. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

There's a zero percent chance Cathedral wants to or prefers to play a rainy, muddy game. They like to sling it all over the field and run tempo, none of which is conducive to inclement weather on a sloppy playing surface.

Unless football simply becomes de-emphasized, I don’t see that happening. Too much structure and too big of a commitment for Center Grove to take a step back.

Definitely not remotely close to being the same deal. The NCAA explicitly states that off-campus, in-game scouting is strictly prohibited. Two programs sharing info on a common opponent is a form of gamesmanship and is widely practiced nor is it an NCAA violation. The issue isn't the fact that Michigan stole signals, it's the method in which they stole them.

Biggest question: Who fronted this operation? Could be that Stallions "went rogue" but hard to believe he did it on his own dime. Michigan is more than likely culpable given somebody from that institution or athletic department reimbursed Stallions financially and find it even harder to believe Harbaugh knew nothing about it. He may have not directly asked Stallions to set up a sophisticated espionage scheme, but I hardly doubt he turned down any useful information. At the end of the day, this single l incident is a minor violation. But it's magnified considering Michigan and Harbaugh are already under NCAA investigation into a completely different set of infractions. It doesn't help that Michigan and Harbaugh continue to play dumb and act like they knew nothing about what was going on.

They don't. Purdue has looked miserable since coming off their bye two weeks ago and their loss to Syracuse looks worse and worse with each passing week. I'd go 11. Northwestern 12. Indiana 13. Michigan St 14. Purdue All 4 are levels of bad right now but Indiana plays Michigan State and Purdue to end the year so this will sort itself out. Michigan State still has OSU and PSU two opponents IU was more than competitive with.

Why not just kick it out of bounds then? LN started in plus territory 3 different times (on top of a failed fake punt) because of it? Not going to get away with that against Ben Davis.

I’m sure there’s specific language in whatever contract he signs that gives Michigan an out if the NCAA lays down the law.

Should have said yet, obviously Michigan still plays in Happy Valley and of course The Game. Michigans in if they take care of business. Ohio State still has outs based on their initial rank.

They'd have to beat Washington in the Pac12 championship and then get some help.

I don't see FSU losing so they are going to get in as an undefeated team. Washington would get in as undefeated PAC12 team but I don't think they get by Oregon a 2nd time.

It matters but OSU's eye test would look similar to Michigan had the Buckeyes played Michigan's schedule to date. Michigan hasn't played a soul. Unless Washington goes undefeated, OSU is almost assuredly in the field even with a loss to Michigan so long as they don't get blown out.

Is he going to cooperate or flat lie about it? That level 3 can turn to a level 1 very quickly. On October 19th he told the world he knew nothing about any sign stealing scheme. A day later Connor Scallions name was introduced to the world and was subsequently suspended for his role in the sign stealing scheme.

So what did TCU do? They put together a system of dummy signals and more, hoping to throw the Wolverines off. TCU mixed in some new signals with the old ones, instructing players to ignore the previous signals and call plays associated with the new signals. But that was not all the Horned Frogs did. They also would at times use two different signals, sending in one play with the new signs, “freezing” the play, and then signaling in a second, dummy play using the old signs. Players were instructed to run the play as first called with the new signs, but the hope was that Michigan would buy the second signals, the ones they potentially knew. They also tried sending in plays late in the play clock, to prevent Michigan from having enough time to adjust. Obviously he was on record saying this prior to Connor Scallions name ever becoming public so he'll recant his claim.

I don't care about any of the other noise or nonsense or any Ohio State pettiness. It's a pretty cut and dry case here, either Harbaugh: 1. Is behind a sophisticated sign stealing scheme that breaks NCAA rules 2. Or he isn't. It's one or the other here. This isn't Harbaugh's first run in with the NCAA and he's already under investigation for prior allegations.

Why does that matter lol? If one team sends personnel to scout the other teams signals (by breaking the rules) and that teams opponent doesn't you tell me who has the upper hand? Let me guess, what the Astros did was no big deal either?

Probably the same advantage Spygate gave the Patriots. If you're that good, why blatantly cheat? And if you're going to cheat, at least cover your ass.

Probably going to depend on his cooperation and the fallout from the other investigation. The NCAA doesn't like when you become habitual.
