  1. This one will air live tonight at 8 ET on ihsaatv.org courtesy of WJOB out of Hammond.
  2. I think Ohio State has looked unbelievably impressive and I've heard multiple analysts say Fields is the best NFL prospect of college QB's. But, similiar to Alabama, they haven't really played anyone great. Still, credit is due to absolutely annihilating the competition, especially in Lincoln on a Saturday night.

  5. Good test for the LSU defense this weekend. Utah State's QB is a potential 1st round pick.
  6. Yeah, it was brutal. Minny WR’s were wide open on slants across the middle. I would not be surprised to see Holt relieves of his DC duties after this year.
  7. 1. Alabama 2. LSU (giving them credit for winning at Texas and the rejuvenated offense) 3. Ohio State (I would take Saban vs. Mike Day on a neutral field, which we could very well end up seeing) 4. Georgia 5. Oklahoma (Riley's offense will demolish the Big 12 and put up at least 25 in a playoff game. The question is can Hurts complete the big passes against an Elite secondary in the Playoff?) 6. Wisconsin (In typical Wisky fashion they play down to Northwestern) 7. Clemson (Honestly, could just be going through the motions and would look like #1 if playing a Top 10 team) 8. Auburn (True Frosh QB. Guz is always coaching for his job. Not a good recipe for an undefeated season) 9. Notre Dame 10. Texas
  8. I believe in Brohm and I completely understand we're playing way too much youth to be successful. But, I'm still frustrated he didn't raid the Juco market int he off-season for some immediate help on the lines. PJ Fleck inherited a complete mess at Minnesota despite the Gophers coming off a 9 win season. He had to dismiss a lot of players and start from scratch. I've read he started with the lines and I think it's paying earlier dividends vs. Brohm's 3 years. I would take Brohm in the long run, but it's frustrating to see Row The Boat be more successful in year 3 vs. Brohm. That week 1 loss to Nevada really stings too. They just lost, at home, to Hawaii by a count of 54-3. Fifty Four to Three. Ouch.
  9. Nice! What's the status on QB1? On side note, the local Fox in Indy will be showing the Bears/Raiders game. I'm on a roll so far this year with not having to leave the house once to watch a Bears game! Plus, a Region transplant from the Tarailo family opened up a Bronkos pizza in the heart of Hamilton Heights Country, downtown Cicero.
  10. I’m nitpicking here and probably shouldn’t care as I’m not a millennial and into the uni combos. But, can they please put the Pirate back on the helmets!?! The all dark purple with no decals looks dull, imo. Vikes by 17. Bucs not quite ready for a return to prime time.
  11. And they have plenty of room for growth. Their district is enormous. All of the farmland east of Summer Road in Noblesville out to the Madison County Line is HSE schools. Noblesville has a lot of newly developed neighborhoods on the east side that feed into HSE.
  12. He won 2 State Titles early at Moe, but was 5-5, 4-6, and 4-7 by the time he resigned. Perhaps, the big resume was smoke and mirrors of a career heading int the wrong trajectory.

  17. Exactly. Plus, the defending champs still have a lot of talent, especially on offense with a QB going to James Madison and a 6'4 WR going to Miami(OH). They tore up a solid Evansville Memorial defense last year.
  18. Interesting. I thought he was hurt last year as well and missed a few games. My mistake.
  19. I haven't followed CG close enough to know what's going on other than Steele being hurt, so I'm curious to know why you feel that way. Are there other impact players that are currently out? Regarding Steele, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but is this two years in a row he's been limited by a hamstring injury? At some point counting on Steele to play like he did as a Freshman might be a pipe dream. Unfortunately, the kid could be a few plays away from shutting it down for the season, which may benefit him in the long run.
  20. That depends on Luke Goode. He’s a 6’5 or 6’6 four star at shooting guard. I’d be curious to see who would offer him if he he told colleges he was playing QB instead of basketball. Their TE is going to Bowling Green and they have a 6’4 Jr. WR who will likely play D1 football. I know Brownsburg has the offensive talent, I’m just not a fan of what I saw in the 2nd half against St. X and the entire game against Avon. Passing game was too vanilla and, especially against Avon, they tried forcing the run. Over 30 carries. Avon’s front 7 shut it down all night. FWIW’s, I’m still picking Hamilton Co. in the North. I’m just really intrigued by this Homestead offense.
  21. I watched that game. The play calling wasn’t very favorable for Brownsburg’s passing attack. Nothing imaginative. Practically limited to throwing deep balls to the WR heading to Purdue in 2 years. I would take Homestead’s passing O to cause Avon fits IF, big IF, Homestead could handle Avon’s D-Line. That 6’3 TE for Homestead opens up the middle.
  22. Noblesville possibly will, but I don’t think it’s a bad look in the SAC. The HCC is a conference full of Homestead’s and Carroll’s. Noblesville doesn’t get an off week with North, South, Wayne, Northrop, or smaller private schools. I’ve seen quite a lot of Homestead on Summit City Sports. IMO, they have the offense that could possibly ruin the MIC party on Thanksgiving weekend. They are huge offensively with good skill in the passing game. I don’t have their line size, but the skills are: 6’6 QB, 6’0 205 WR, 6’4 WR, and a 6’3 230 TE has committed to Bowling Green. The QB is an Iowa basketball recruit who isn’t a stiff. That TE is a monster who seemingly catches everything thrown to him across the middle.
  23. Yeah, I imagine that is a staff that is used to handling adversity throughout a game. On an annual basis they’re facing a GCL South schedule, Colerain, Indiana powers, Louisville powers, and Ohio powers from up state. Then, throw in the Ohio Division 1 playoffs. They are put through the ringer!
