    In a perfect world this would be the case. It appears that it's become more of a career award. No one in the state of Indiana means more to his team than Nate McCahill!

    They happen to be all male schools with large enrollments, at least most of 'em are. That makes a difference. Your dislike of good football teams, and let's make 'em all even is worn out and totally outdated. Speaking for all, or at least most Cathedral fans, we thank the South Deanery for Nate McCahill!

    IMO, it's a lifetime achievement award more than a single season, and I don't think that's all bad. Lots of quality talent in the state, especially in the Indy Metro area.

    I just found out a couple of hours ago that seats will be reserved. Now if we can just get folks to sit in their "reserved" seats everyone should be fine.

    Outstanding effort from the Hoosiers today! Down 35-7 early in the 3rd quarter, they came back and had a chance to tie it late. Tom Allen has instilled a new attitude down in Bloomington and it should be fun to watch it grow down the road!

    IMO, Mr. Football is as much a career award as a yearly award. No player has had more impact on their team's success this season than Nate McCahill, that's a fact. But Nate only has the one year and Steele has been a starter, on one of the best if not the best teamsin the state, for four years. I'm an Irish fanboy! If I had a vote it would be for Nate!

    I understood that the stadium is to be cleared after each game and sanitized before allowing the following game fans to enter the stadium. Is this correct? Honestly, in these times, it would be good if the fans of the two schools playing have first choice of the tickets for their game and the choice of seating.

    I agree on both points. Steele will win Mr. Football but McCahill had an incredible season. It's a shame he only had one year as the Irish QB starter. I still can't believe Yeast is playing defense at Louisville!

    My family doctor's son was the Zionsville receiver that caught the pass that beat Brownsburg last year. He and I will have a lot more to talk about the next time I have a doctor's appointment.😊 It will be good to be back downtown after six years!

    I saw Westfield play Cathedral the first game of the season. As we left that night I said I hope Westfield turns out to be better than they showed tonight. They are!

    Yep! No use running it up. Save the troops to play another day. New Pal had a different mindset in past years, as have other teams. Lots of players got to play in a semi-state and that's always good.

    It will be nice to be back downtown on Thanksgiving weekend! It's been a long time, 2014. I look forward to playing Zionsville for the 5A State Title! The announcers for this game were not good, as was the playing field. There couldn't have been more than a couple hundred blades of grass on that field. The announcers sounded like it had been awhile since they had seen a high school football game, let along announce one.

    For $15, it better have sound and I'm sure it will. I listen to the feed from radio for games and enjoy knowing the outcome of the play before it's televised. Maybe that's crazy but it works for me! GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That's down home for me! My mother was born and raised in Cannellburg, which is a suburb of Loogoogtee!😊 I still have a lot of cousins in Martin and Daviess Counties. I get down there often. Lots of good fishing down there. BOOOOOOOO!😠

    That would be difficult as I've seen the Irish play in more than 150 different venues. I could probably give a short list if I have time to think it over. Anywhere I have seen good high school football is a good venue though!

    I saw my first game in the Bowl in 1958 and another game in 1976, so I knew what to expect. It's a nice venue but in my 65 years of watching Irish football, it would not be in my top ten of venues to watch a game.
