It's tough to beat Trinity, especially in Louisville. Hats off to the 'Hounds!

The Irish gained a lot of yards in the first half, but shot themselves in the foot when inside the 10 yard line. Westfield had a lot to do with the four missed red zone trips, but the Irish contributed to the problem also. The defense bent some but came up with the big play when needed. They were the key to this Irish win for sure. O'Neill has all the tools and all he needs is experience. Nice first game for him all things considered. There's a lot to work on, but the talent and the coaching staff is there to get the job done. It sure was good to be back in the stands!😄

I hope to see a lot of Irish fans at Westfield tonight! It's about time to hit the road!😅

That's sort of misleading, as Cathedral played their first team sparingly, and looked at all that dressed and the Irish had quite a few more players than FC. Good luck to the Flashes. You have the coach to get you back on track.

I'm more concerned with Westfield now and I hope the team is also. I'm sure Coach Peebles have them looking forward no further than tomorrow night. It'll be nice if both CG and the Irish are undefeated into week 9, but that's a long way off. Oh, and last year is history.

I don't make too many, if any, predictions but I'm really excited to begin the season and wonder why Cathedral has played at Westfield two years in a row.

It takes a lot to make it to be a dinosaur. I'm proud of that moniker! BTW, two likes a day on here is way too few!

I sure hope you're right! It's going to be tough to top last year. Last season was one of the toughest schedules any Irish team has ever faced.

The milk box was a good place to put the extra door key too, in case you forgot yours.😉

I'll be there Friday night. It should be a good one. I don't know if the Irish will be better than last year, that's a tough task imho, but they should be pretty good. A lot of inexperience at the skill possessions, except at WR, but no lack of talent.

It was sure good to get back at it, sort of. The weather wasn't as bad as it has been and the football, well it was football. It was good to see some old friends and talk about the upcoming season.

Only 3 1/2 hours to football!☺️

I attended games at "the Bowl" in 1958, 1976 and 2009. I've never sat on the huge home side.🙂

I guess we'll find out a bit more about O'Neil this Friday night, and then more during his first regular season. I trust Coach Peebs!

Cathedral will be at Franklin Central, 7PM. Most coaches use this scrimmage to get most, if not all, their players on video. That way they can further evaluate what they have. Of course for some it will be a short dress rehearsal. I hope to see some Irish fans at FC Friday night!
