I haven't seen Whiteland yet and it wasn't the best Elder team that I had seen. I don't doubt that. Maybe I just have too much pent up respect for the GCL.

Are you leaving out Bishop Chatard from you list of teams that were good? They were no slouch, believe me!

When I was much younger, I used to laugh at my mother for watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every night. Well, now my wife and I watch both every night when we're at home. In fact we record Jeopardy. We will miss Alex! He was the consummate professional! He was like one of the family!

OK, that's where I heard that. I usually listen to the Irish radio broadcast on the way home. I knew that Whiteland was a Cathedral home game and New Pal was out there. I haven't seen anything on the Cathedral website or anywhere else but our broadcast team would know the scoop for sure. They're really outstanding!

Cathedral played at Pickerington Central in 2017, losing 25-20. Nice facility!

I've been told that this game will be played at Tech. I think the IHSAA doesn't want schools playing on grass this late in the playoff. We've been really lucky this year weather wise. I hope it continues. Can anyone verify that this game is indeed at Tech?

I take it all back! The Irish finally win a big one, 47-40, over Clemson in 2OT's! I've got early Church tomorrow and I've got to get to bed!

Notre Dame is a QB away from having an outstanding team. They just can't seem to close out the good teams. Field goals aren't going to beat Clemson. In fact I wish ND had a QB that was as good for his team as Cathedral. I'm not comparing McCahill to Book but Book seems to fade late in games. Too many wild throws and other miscues late. I'm hoping by some miracle the Irish can close out this game as it's tied at 26 mid 4th quarter.

Tom Allen is a really good football coach! That is all!

Not much chatter here for this game. I hope the Irish pay attention and advance. And of course I hope they advance injury free.

I grew up, well sort of, 3 blocks west of Tech on 9th St. I attended many Tech football games when I was young, found a way under the fence, and that stadium was always full and lively. Of course Tech had 5,000 students then too. Now they still have about 2500 enrollment and it seems like their athletics have hit the bottom. It's difficult to get young men to play football at smaller schools but there should be 100 or so willing to play football out of an enrollment that large. And it's not just their football program that's lacking participation. A couple of year back their JV basketball team had 6 players and the varsity had 8 players. That's well before the COVID era. I don't know what the answer is and apparently Tech doesn't know either. It's sad to watch.

This is where you hope to take home some hardware. Both teams need to stay focused. BTW, we have located tickets for this game. ☺️
