  1. When you can't beat your two biggest rivals, there comes a time for replacement. It's as simple as that.
  2. This may be Harbaugh's last year at Michigan. He just hasn't won enough, especially the big games, Michigan State and Ohio State. He has shown he can coach up or recruit a QB either.
  3. It's a nooner!
  4. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/high-school/ohio-high-school/2020/11/13/st-xavier-plays-pickerington-central-football-di-state-title-game/6277644002/ I think this link is OK!
  5. The Bombers won the Ohio State Championship: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/high-school/ohio-high-school/2020/11/13/st-xavier-plays-pickerington-central-football-di-state-title-game/6277644002/ I'm not sure why that link won't work, but St. beat Pickerington Central 44-3, scoring 30 points in the first quarter. It was Pickerington Central's first loss of the season.
  6. I was a fast pitch softball catcher in my younger days and I once caught an early spring game in snow showers. It was hard to pick up the ball at time it was snowing so hard. It was fun to talk about after the game though.😉
  7. Nice win for the Irish! It seemed as though there was a bit of a letdown early on, but the finally got rolling. Three TO's is not acceptable though. They must clean up that aspect of their game, for sure!
  8. I don't predict games but Cal Preps predicts a 46-0 Irish win.
  9. Football players are always warm, as they have pads and uniforms to keep them that way. That's a lot different than baseball, and especially soccer. Besides, when you're young and fired up the weather is not as important to you as it is the older folks. That's my honest opinion.
  10. It was almost balmy, for this time of year, last night as long as you were dressed for it.
  11. I hope you're right! I'm trying to figure out if I want to drive all that distance to watch the game. I'm a loyalist but that's a long round trip. I've been the Evansville area three times for Cathedral games but I was much younger then.🤔
  12. Honestly, we need to stop feeding the troll! This is the only way to shut him down. If he wants to talk high school football, that's fine, but he's just trying to get a reaction from serious fans.
  13. You need another hobby, DT. And if you didn't see the game you shouldn't try to discuss it! You have enough other troll threads to keep you busy.
  14. Ben Davis is a program that IS relevant, and will always be relevant!
  15. Good effort from the Irish last night, on both sides of the ball. Also the weather was not that bad with no wind. You just have to dress properly for a night like last night. Now it's on to Castle.
  16. Cathedral 39, Whiteland 6 (final) Next up for the Irish, a trip to Castle.
  17. Well, it's about time to get the old team bus warmed up and go get the gang. I guess we'll find out about what's been tossed around in a a few hours. Dress warm if you're lucky enough to have tickets. See you after the game.
  18. It wasn't the coldest night but the most uncomfortable I was at a game was at Brebeuf last year. It was 60 degrees or so late in the afternoon and dropped to around 40 degrees and no one was dressed for the dramatic temperature drop. Not only was it getting colder, but a steady rain turned into a downpour. Cathedral won the game 21-7, which was the only good thing about that night. I also remember a night in the playoffs at Bloomington High in 1973. We passed around a flask and it was still miserably cold that night. It was the night Cathedral broke Bloomington's 60 game winning streak, so it was well worth it though.
  19. I enjoyed Arena football where the team ahead by 10 points with a minute left wasn't taking a knee. I don't mind seeing skill.
  20. Yep! If it's too cold for you, just stay home. Because it's football!
  21. That reply deserves an AMEN!
  22. I have football magnets all over my fridge!
