MD takes a surprising 10 to 7 lead into locker room at the half. It's actually been a pretty even game so far. Reitz gets kick off to start the 2nd half. No moral victories.

First time this season Reitz has trailed at the half??

The only issue with #4 for Tigers is how hard he throws. The young man has a CANNON. Throwing to the 2nd string WRs late in the Reitz game, several passes went right through the WR's hands. Yes, they were "catchable" balls but not many 2nd string high schools WRs can handle that kind of velocity. Perhaps if he gets to throw to frontline guys, he will have more success.

Best guess on Bosse team that beat MD "30 yrs ago" was the one with Levron Williams at RB?

With the exception of 2 long passes, Memorial D has been fine. Tiger Offense is sputtering/ Reitz D is keeping them in check. Panthers have some really good athletes on D this year.

I cannot remember the last time Bosse was favored against Mater Dei. However, looking at the line, Bosse - 7, I am not certain that is enough pts. Their D is pretty good but MD STRUGGLES to move the ball, with little speed and inconsistent rhythm in their passing attack. If MD can run the ball and set up more favorable down & distance situations for the passing game, they have a chance. Wow, I cannot believe I just wrote that: "If MD does....it has a chance....against Bosse..." This is the most difficult season in recent memory for MD.

Well, the Defense showed up and played well, despite the lopsided final score. Offense still struggling mightily with too many issues to list. MD may not win another game this season, including Sectionals, depending on their draw. 😟

I like this match-up as well and think the Wildcats might pull off the upset. They are due for a game to go their way...

I have often wondered why Castle has not yet gone to turf since funding did not seem to be an issue. I figured there was some lingering "old school" thinking that football should be played on real grass...a sentiment I agree with btw. Turf seems to have too many ancillary benefits to schools - once you get past the turf burns that is... 8 - 0

This game was dominated by the defenses. MD, while solid on D, continues to struggle mightily on offense. Their only meaningful drive the whole game was at the start of 2nd half and it was run heavy and up-tempo. After Tigers adjusted and MD went back to shotgun/pistol, their two left feet were again evident. Several snap count snafus again this week. Again, MD is very young with 6 - 8 sophs getting heavy reps at many key positions on both side of the ball. They will only get better as season progresses but offense seems destined to struggle until/unless MD can get consistent yards via run to set up better down & distance situations for the passing game which has struggled to this point.

What happened to Fisher? Didn't play last 2-3 series of the half?
