  1. Actually is a good list. That being said: Mike Gillin - Mooresville, I feel this may be his last stop. Coaching where he lives seems to be content there and has totally turned the program around. The more I look at it Shane Fry would be a great hire as would Pat Shanley and Kyle Ralph. This could be a terrific job for Dave Sharpe. I know when he resigned from LaPorte to move to Indianapolis for their foundation in their sons memory. He stated Football is in his blood as much as teaching and he'll persue both once he is established in Indianapolis. Fishers would be a great landing spot for Sharpe and Fishers would get a terrific Coach to boot.
  2. It will definitely stand for awhile. It will take a RB starting as a Freshman and starting all 4 years to even attempt to break them. Not only that but they have to average great numbers each year.
  3. I hope that wasn’t directed towards me as I have no dissent. I also vehemently am against the supposed contraction to 289 like @crimsonace1. I posted that Shelbyville completed their season (because it had been stated they shut it all down) with their schedule that had scores. I was asked a goofy question what weaknesses they found to score a TD in Orndleton heights the last two games. I sarcastically responded they ran the same okay week 1 (only other game they scored in) and found that it still worked. wasnt being mean towards Shelbyville just found it a shall I say goofy question so I came up with a just as goofy answer. BTW @Gipper what is the best seasoning for coaches? lol Cajun ?
  4. I'm not mean. I just answered a silly question with a silly answer.
  5. I have wondered the same thing. Boy has that area grown from Hamilton Southeastern being a 3A school back in 1993 to now having 2 large 6A High Schools in Fishers an Hamilton Southeastern.
  6. Very true he has a pretty good situation where he is right now. You're last sentence isn't always looked at some as a bad situation though. Some coaches will look at it as a challenge. I think a proper question would be is he content staying where he is for obvious reasons (wife's hometown, great fan support, great administrative support, a great football culture) or does he want to step to another challenge. I don't know the answer to that question and I would think the only ones that truly know the answer to that question would be Coach Ralph and his family. I don't think anyone could fault the man for choosing either way.
  7. A couple of coaches I think could be a good hire (no idea if there is interest or not). I just think they have done fantastic at their current school. Craig Chambers - Marion Curt Funk - Mississinewa
  8. They ran the same play they ran in week 1 and found it still worked.
  9. Um...Shelbyville completed their entire season.
  10. Yes it is and they should have Mooresville week 4 or 5.
  11. So is New pal playing Decatur Central week 1 and CG playing them week 2?
  12. You can practice with @1st_and_10! Pinky out!
  13. Doesn't Penn and Cathedral play next year? Or is it the following year. Thought I saw posted on here a tweet from Penn.
  14. Because they had to for Lawrence Central Missouri State was not renewing any contracts with any High Schools for trademark agreements for their logo (the Bear logo). Lawrence North was doing the same with Kansas State Logo. So they decided to create new logo's for both schools. They over the next couple of years will be replacing the logos throughout the 2 schools with their new Logo's which they have trademarked.
  15. I believe Cathedral did 2012 won 4A title beating Mishawaka. Bumped to 5A 2013 and beat Westfield for State Title. I will have to look and see about any others
  16. I personally don't see Coach Ralph leaving New Pal any time soon for many reasons stated: wife's hometown, football crazed town, community support, administration support, facilities, growing community. That being said I feel if any school would be the one to lure him away it would be when Steve Specht retires or leaves Cincinnati St. Xavier. I would think they (St. X) would definitely be interested in Coach Ralph because he is a graduate, former assistant coach, and has had great success as a Head Coach. I think Coach Ralph could (will not say would) be interested because it is his Alma Mater (He is a member of the Long Blue Line) and for many reasons he is at New Pal: Football community facilities, etc. That however could be down the line quite a bit. I have always felt Coach Ralph is very comfortable where he is at for now.
  17. See my posts about Valpo and Center Grove rosters (100+). Not trying to be mean or arrogant. I only listed what was in the state finals program for roster and IHSAA for enrollment and classification. I was not discriminating any team.
  18. I agree but the IHSAA can’t look at just the titles Cathedral, Chatard, LCC, or Memorial wins. They also have to look at Park Tudor, Bishop Noll, Providence, Oldenburg, etc a bump would also involve them. I have been around the GID about as long as you say you have been around Hs football in Indiana. Been around Indiana HS football for about 28 years. The SF has been very good just wish it were as the IFCA proposed at 4 years instead of 2
  19. I provided a link to the roster that was in the IHSAA program had Chatard at 77 players ( you can check for yourself) The IHSAA has them listed at 700 students in the enrichment and classification.
  20. I will say after many years of observing HS sports...there are far more that transfer from Private to Public (for a multitude of reasons) than Public to private. It’s hit or miss on what the IHSAA rules as far as eligibility. Honestly it’s like playing at a craps table. Just being honest!
