Valpo as well (from what I've seen) can be dangerous..the panthers are going through an upswing in talent yet as we all know it don't mean a thing if u don't have (idk the actual song) a ring..

That is what gets me..I can never tell when they have a legit juggernaut or not until they lose. If they play a top tier mic team or a high 5a low 6a team (snider) id bet against them. From the earlier post speaking of so much D1 talent id be pressed about anyone beating them in any class this year..are we due for another stretch of cathedral titles? From the link posted earlier they definitely can put up hardware spurts..no fbs scholarship players from a title cathedral team?? That ever happen b4?

Ig i was born in the sweet spot and had the honor of watching a few of these teams. If people watched film on these teams it may change their mind..the 91 BD team was amazing..the 06 Warren team was immaculate. It kind of ruins a person's perspective after you see greatness..possibly in the next few years we will have analytics to assist with the greatest team of all time discussion (someone create the poll) that will list how many linebackers ran sub 4.5 who were listed at 215 or wrs that were 6'1 that clocked 4.3 40's..athletes are supposed to always get bigger, faster, and stronger yet I fail to believe that those teams from the 80s and 70s weren't just as tough.

Img vs Indiana should be a mic school imho..the 6a favorite to go undefeated maybe..Img have lost games before and if they lost to an Indiana school it would give hoosier hysteria a different meaning.

I was just giving parameters while trying to show some love and hopefully potentially infuse some programs that could use a good year...1a-4a remain the same..around the 1500-2500 mark is where we could add another..only kicking us up from 7 to 8 would be for the mega schools..maybe 16 in the top class..we had 3 classes..then 5..now 6..the potential for 7 may come around...eventually. when we went from 5 to 6 classes it had no bearing on the smaller schools but i did not know how close 1-4a classes were in enrollment. Ok I'm done ruffling feathers😏

The wind to this sail would be money. Narrowing the gaps in population by expanding classes could possibly create more chances for those who would never get over the hump. Get bigger, faster, and stronger will always reign supreme. I'm playing devils advocate here yet I could see in the next decade or so us expanding to 8 classes.. that 3a program that is struggling to get kids out could benefit from hardware being added to their case. Heck a community playing for a spot in the sectional title could provide the jolt they need. As far as the actual math game..not sure on what parameters would be..just for starters.. <400 kids 1a <800 kids 2a <1200 kids 3a <1600 kids 4a <2000 kids 5a <2500 kids 6a <3000 kids 7a >3000 kids 8a I haven't checked how many schools would fall into each bracket. Create more bye weeks and a few schools would automatically play for sectional titles. An example of carmel playing its first playoff game for a sectional seems to be ok with me..travel for programs could be an issue yet they'd be traveling for something worthwhile. No I don't want every kid getting ring. Yes I am worried about dwindling numbers moving forward.

Creating more classes would benefit our state and who cares if other states think Indiana is too small to add more.

Yes....not everyone yell at once..having bye weeks b4 the playoffs seem nice..largest schools first game could be for a sectional title even..the money would still be there..more titles for everyone=more community involvement..other states would only know if they look in to it..if another state has 8 classes I have yet to know how or why they break down into the 8..how many is too many?

If it were a notre dame special (football only) this could be solid n the programs mentioned all travel well..not sure how other conferences share revenue..I'm sure they'd hate to lose the gate these teams garner.

Looked bad..coaches are lucky not to catch a right hook from an upset onlooker..id gladly pull my kid from that team...I know there is a coaching shortage yet we can't allow such idiocy especially at the pee wee level..strapping kids in pads at that age used to be ok when coaches had common sense...

Mid major speedster from a team that never made it outta sectionals goes in the 2nd rd..the dream lives on..

Its a few months until the season..any banter/talk is welcomed imo..it will be intriguing to see the tigers take on wc. Bart ball may make it interesting..programs go through good cycles n maybe whs has 2 good classes (or 4). Kudos for stepping up their competition to a higher level..
