Shew...I've been so busy marking my territory on all the new additions to the Dog Pound, that I haven't had time to even look at the Grid!! Welcome back! What an exciting time to be a Bulldog! This team is the real deal! Everyone in Casket Nation knows that 2025 is THE class of a lifetime. Maybe the best Bulldog team to ever step on a football field in Casket Town. Those Dogs went 11-2 as Juniors (only two losses against 4A State Champ and 3A State Runner Up) and they didn't lose anyone significant, who can't easily be replaced. This year they will be 15-0 when they walk out of the Oil Can with those State Champion medals around their necks. Yes, that means knocking off mighty EC in pursuit of their dream season!!! No one else will even come close. Big 20 going down put a chink in the armor, but they are so deep it won't matter. All they have to do is show up and collect the hardware. I hear the boys in the burg weren't too happy about those "Sectional Champion" posters hanging in Connie's. Just wait until there's a 6×6 one hanging from that new jumbotron! 😂 Gonna be a great year, glad football season is upon us! Dogs by 30+ against Wigwam Nation. Trojans fall to Harrison in the Battle Of 74 and the army travels back to St Leon in shock and disbelief. KFI Mardi Gras Invader Taco Truck etc etc wins their second preseason game of the year. Stinktown edges one out in a low scoring game. Flatbill Timberlakes continue the tradition...of losing. Hondaturd...not worth talking about. Chicken and Jo Jo's over Connertucky, but not by much. Ope...new light pole going up in the parking lot, gotta go!!!

Contact before the ball is in the air is legal in high school...the ball was never in the air. Slot comes off the ball with hands out to block OLB, OLB believes he is being blocked (QB is rolling and is a big run threat). They are tied up for a second or two, then OLB runs with Slot once it's clear that the Slot is continuing on a route. Crucial point for the referees to influence the game on THAT call (in real time). One call usually doesn't decide a game, and the Bulldogs certainly could done things better to secure the victory. I just hate it when a very questionable call by an official has an impact.

It won't change anything, so it really doesn't matter. I wouldn't have even brought it up if someone hadn't asked. Yes, there were mistakes made (like interceptions), but if you were there, you KNOW that it was a HUGE momentum shift. After that HH executed well and won the game. I will say, HH made very few mistakes. The hold on the jet sweep was right in front of me and 100% a holding call. The out of bounds I couldn't see, and haven't looked at on film. The first TD...WR landed in the white and appeared to be out of bounds to me. Hard to tell on film though. Calls are part of the game, I'm not denying that. Maybe Batesville should have taken it out of their hands in others ways, but the holding call when the Slot clearly comes at our OLB hands first to pick him was a horrible call that impacted the game. Period! In my opinion, Batesville had the better football team. HH made fewer mistakes and executed well. In the end, they move on and the Bulldogs don't. That's life.

End of 3rd Quarter. Dogs led 21-14 with a little over a minute in the 3rd. HH had the ball, 3rd and 11 from their own 19. Batesville sacked their QB at the 5 making it 4th and long from their own 5, and they called defensive holding on a roll out pick play!!! I rarely, if ever, blame a game on the refs but that call undoubtedly changed the course of the game! We made mistakes, no denying that, but if you were at the game you KNOW that the call changed the game. It's water under the bridge now, but I hate to see a game impacted by officials like that.

Where's all the Braves fans? Stinktown gets knocked out and the GID goes radio silence! EIAC Forever....WIAC NEVER!!!!

Stinky, Stinky, Stinky X, Y, to the Z; you know you can't handle K9 AND Triple C. We beat you in the Pit, now we're gonna beat you in the Pound. We'll beat you through the air, and we'll beat you on the ground. You have Bighaus back, but no difference shall it make. When the Dogs D is bearing down, his knees will start to shake. There will be no place to run, and there will be no place to hide. By the time the game his over, his big head will be fried. I hear little Tiger Rats have sent some taunting texts. When they should have been preparing for what was coming next. In just a few short hours, only one of us shall remain. And the Dogs we will be celebrating with that crazy cat Tre....

Ok "Lip". Batesville has a better overall record, beat Lawrenceburg in the head to head, and plays virtually the same schedule yet Lawrenceburg jumped to 5th this week? They beat a team that doesn't play a 3A team until Sectional! Good news "Lip", in less than 12 hours we are gonna find out!

Ahh, the week we've all been waiting for! Maybe one of the biggest games in the State this week. The Dogs are getting no respect from AP, Coaches, Sagarin, and now the GID. I love it that so many people are writing them off. Stinktown will come ready to play, I don't doubt that, but these Dogs are built different and ready to put away all doubt! I don't think it will be as close as some believe, even with Bighaus. Dogs take it by two scores and roll on to Sectional Championship game....whoever that may be. We'll see ya soon....we'll see ya real soon!

Must have been "Buy one TigerBL and get a free half gallon of Jager" at Connie's this morning! 😳

Ahh, the regular season is over and now it's time for the season that really matters... Stinktown is starting to roll, and Centerville will play their first 3A opponent of the year this week 😳. Stinktown wins by at least two scores and advances to next round. Hondaturd gets put out of their misery this week, and the Creek moves to round two. KFI's Rats get a morale booster with a win over the depleted Jo Jo's. Casket Nation has more weapons than the Flatbill Timberlakes can handle, and will advance to the semifinals with a big win. Can't wait to get one of those ribeye sandwiches and wash it down with some BulldogBL's!!!
