  1. I agree, just wish the Dawgs would have come away with the win. I will say this...all the hype over EC vs SD and it was a huge flop. Dawgs vs Tigers have been THE best games in the conference over the past few years!!!
  2. The Dawgs earned nothing tonight. Moral victories are for losers. But..... 1. Maybe the offense does fit their personnel. 2. The football program in Batesville is not failing after all. I wish the dogs had come out on top, but they didn't. It took a lot of guts for Coach K to go for 2, and the win, rather than kicking the PAT to put the game into OT. Great win Tigers, it was a fun game to watch!!! Best of luck, and we'll see ya Yoon!
  3. What is this??? Me and Triple C rode down to the Dirty Burg early to visit Connie's and get in on a little of the tailgate action, and this is what we find. I knew there was something funny going on with Stink and KFI!!
  4. This gonna be the scene for Vince McRand in a few hours!!
  5. Maybe you can take STC to your tattoo guy. You two seem to have a lot in common!!
  6. I must say, the Trojan crew does seem eerily quiet this week. Could they really be concerned about the Knights?
  7. I sure hope KFI comes back to the Grid after tonight's beatdown. I enjoy reading his posts. He has helped shed light on Coach Boom's many, many talents. Honestly, I had no idea.
  8. I thought it said KFC. I just figured Rand loved fried chicken.
  9. Being 2-3 one year after going 9-3, and to Sectional Championship, is an indication of a failing program? That's quite the assessment.
  10. Apples apples everywhere, it is that time of year. But of a mangy Tiger Rat this Dawg will never fear. Those Tiger Rats are pussycats, and Stink he is a Goon. They cheetah left, cheetah right and throw from Yoon to Yoon. But the Tigger D, it looks soft, nothing like they were. The once ferocious Tigers, barely make a purr. The Dawgs might be just 2-3, but I wouldn't count them out. I'll even buy at Connie's after we've kicked your..... Coaxh K will have em ready, but he sure ain't no Coach Rand. Last time the Tigers played the Dawgs, he wound up in the concession stand!!
  11. Where has ole KFI been?? I love seeing him and STC go at it on the grid. I don't even care about this SD vs EC match up, I'm looking forward to week 9 on the grid. Two masterminds just duking it out!!
  12. I'm gonna have to disagree. I look for Boom to spread the field and come out slinging. He really loves his QB...played him all four quarters when the game was well out of reach at the Oil Can. IF, they are able to have success they will move the ball quickly. EC defense is good though so I'm not sure how well that plan will work. In spite of being a "DW Expert" even Boom knows his DW isn't gonna hang with that defense. Their only chance is to spread the field and air it out, therefore reducing TOP. EC will come out and grind in typical Trojan fashion, and since their QB is no coffee kid, I think they win with defense and time of possession. As for Stink vs Dawgs, there may be an upset in the making. It will be a battle, but Dawgs get a very close, but VERY big win this week! 28-21 Dawgs!
  13. While Stink's breakdown was a lot of fun to read, this game really comes down to two things in my opinion...Defense and TOP. The red and black win both those categories, and win the game.
  14. It takes a special kind of idiot to fault the other team's offense rather than give his team's defense any credit. Best of luck as you venture out of the pond!!
  15. I suppose I should act more mature and say things like, "don't hate us cuz you ain't us".
  16. Triple C always looks like that, win or lose. Nothing new for that ole Cowboy.
  17. Translation..."I'm not allowed within 500 feet of a school or playground, but me and some of the boys from the trailer park will be listening to the game on the radio".
  18. Their record and scores could indicate that they may not be the team they were last year, but I'm not sure how much that really means. It is a long season and a lot can change. As it has been pointed out, Stinktown lost to Milan and Greensburg early in the season last year but they ended up being pretty solid by the end of the season. They are young so I just hope they continue to get better every week, and maybe it will pay off come Sectional time.
  19. Fyi...it's at Batesville. I'd hate to see such a loyal fan miss the game cuz he thought it was a home game.
  20. Do you guys read through all of the comments, or just pick the last one and run with it? Obviously winning the game is always the goal, I was simply responding to a comment about the offense not fitting the personnel. I do agree that controlling the clock and tempo would make sense. I don't think the Dawgs were soft at all last year, and if you think Coach Hep never had a weak team you're crazy.
  21. Haha...I wasn't trying to imply that the Dawgs were in the game. But the offense did move the ball.
  22. Oh now Fortune Teller, everyone knows you're just a disgruntled Bulldog. Maybe I should have said progress rather than success. I'm pretty sure most new coaches with a new system take their lumps. NO ONE in Casketnation said beating Stewytown was a huge victory.
  23. Most of the athletes are just pups, but they'll grow up. I wouldn't change the entire offense based on one year, that would be foolish. Coach Hep didn't run a lot of spinner, or at least it wasn't the heart of the playbook like BC. Most of his career was Wing T with some Single Wing and a little Spread mixed in. I'm not gonna knock Coach Hep, it's a good offense and he had a lot of success with it. Many Wing T teams have evolved into Spread teams as it is just more versatile. Wing T/SW can be deceptive, but times change and things evolve. Casketville has had success with the spread in my opinion. There were some bumps in the beginning, but they have gotten better every year. This year they are just young, you will have that. Here's a little history for ya...that offense put up almost 400 yards on last year's Trojans! They struggled to finish a few drives and the defense couldn't stop those big boys up front, but offensive scheme wasn't the problem.
  24. I'm not even sure where you got this roster. The guys that are playing don't look that big to me, but then again, I'm usually half lit! The only guy on the entire sideline who looks 260 is the Offensive Line coach!! Haha
  25. Another Trojan delusion. 1. Rosters aren't always accurate, and rosters certainly don't indicate if the guy is a player or not. 2. Are all of those guys healthy? Unlike the mighty red and black, most EIAC teams are not 2-3 deep at every position with a separate offensive and defensive crew. Again, not a dig but so many guys at EC are clueless to anything outside of St Leon. EC has a good football program, they should be proud of that, but act like what you are. Shouting that you are a "powerhouse" to the EIAC really doesn't mean anything.
