Tanka Jahari
This thread is for all things dealing with pylon cameras. So who uses them? What are the best makes and models?
Tanka Jahari
I have heard that Admiral Video LLC offers one of the better pylon cameras available.

SenatorFan
I’ll ask, what good does ANY camera do, If you don’t know what to do with the information the camera captured? If you don’t know how to block and tackle, or how to teach someone to block and tackle. Then it is useless to have film proving we need to block and tackle better Just sayin...

Assuming that blocking and tackling are equal between two teams, at some point technology use comes into play. If both teams have endzone and sideline cameras, but only team A has a pylon camera, team A could win due to that advantage.

The NFL thinks otherwise, at least with regards to pylon cams. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/09/02/pylon-cameras-are-mainly-worthless/

Endzone cameras on the other hand are a home run for the money invested. Wondering about drones...................

I think we should save this discussion for it's own thread. I don't want crossover thoughts lost.
Tanka Jahari
Moderators, please close this topic as it appears to be irrelevant to high school football technological use. While an interesting novelty, I just don't see pylon cameras being helpful to high school football teams.
hhpatriot04
This post is too close to "endzone cameras" ... thus we must close it. Sorry.
