Bremen at East Noble - Tough opener on the road for Bremen, giving the edge to EN @ home

John Glenn at Boone Grove - John Glenn is looking to fill a lot of holes, might need a cpl weeks to iron the wrinkles out

Knox at North Judson - Tough one to go with Knox on, being at Judson and a revamped OL for Knox.  But McLaughlin is too much to handle

LaVille at Triton - Ground and pound might be the name of the game in this one.  I expect a defensive battle and LaVille gets the W in a close one

NorthWood at Jimtown - Northwood to much for Jimmies in this one

Wawasee at Tippecanoe Valley - TV coming off a great year, gets another season started on the right track, and wins big in this one

Aug 23 - Week #1

Games involving Indiana Northern State Conference

Bremen at East Noble-Bremen has some talent at skill positions, but don't have enough to hang for 4 quarters.

John Glenn at Boone Grove-Glenn will be fine in this one.

Knox at North Judson-A dog fight in this rivalry game. NJ is really good, Knox is better.

LaVille at Triton- Triton is sneaky good this year, and LaVille will struggle finding footing early replacing leaders.

NorthWood at Jimtown-Battle of 19 goes once again to NW

Wawasee at Tippecanoe Valley-Valley has a lot of holes to fill to start the year.

Slow start for the new conference- but good coaching will have these teams humming by the post season. Have to shake off the rust first.

I had an opportunity to watch Tippy in their scrimmage against Fairfield, there weakness will be there passing game all year.  Their JR and SO Quarterbacks cannot throw the football down field as well as had several fumbled snaps.  If you stop the counter action they run with their wings, you have a chance to beat them.  Their best Quarterback is a Freshman (From the Scrimmage threw a 30 yard TD pass), We played him in baseball for a few years and the kid is an athlete.

I look for Glenn and Knox to come out on top of the INSC in year #1, but don't sleep on the Vikings freshman class coming up in the next few years.

I don't know about the other games in the conference, but a big rivalry game this week between Rochester and Valley for the Bell. Always a really cool atmosphere for this game every year. Hopefully, it will be a little bit closer than it was last year. Both teams played pretty one sided games last week, so I look at this game as a way to see how both teams seasons are going to play out. Good luck to the rest of this conference this week. Its going to be a hot one Friday night!

Rochester up 12-0 after 1...as I mentioned early shut down the run and valley can be beat.  Rochester is dominating on run defense, valley has tried passing and thrown 3 picks already in the 1st quarter.  Things need to change at Death Valley to compete in the new conference

It's 12-7 at half. Valley went on a 98 yard, 16 play drive.

Glad to see the vikings pull it out all on the ground attack, wore down Rochester.  Still cannot throw the football down the field, #16 is clearly a running QB but his arm will hurt him against Jimtown and Glenn.  #6 threw 2 picks, clearly need to figure out the QB play and at times their DL was over matched by rochester.  Their freshman class is by far the best class out of the 4, at some point going to have to give the younger guys a shot if you want to win the conference.

Wow the IFCA has spoken, Vikings win again (Have not lost a regular season game in the past 2 years) yet they drop out of the top 15 in 3A.  Another disaster at QB for TV 0-1 with their sophomore running the offense.  2 fumbles by the young kid, 1 of which was a missed snap and ran in for a touchdown by their center.  Looking ahead at the juggernaut which is the INSC, the leader of the pack will need to find their passing game to be able to compete.  This is probably the softest and lack of effort team that Valley has had in recent years to say the least.  With the size of Valley's roster, Should be no reason why they are running 8-9 players on both sides of the ball.

Saw they had 60 rushes for 410 yards against an athletically superior 5A team Friday. Not sure I’m buying this take. You don’t do that by being soft or by a lack of effort.

I agree. When you can run the ball like that, who cares what you do through the air. This was exactly how the Vikings beat Rochester. By running it right at them.

What makes the INSC a juggernaut? Three teams are under .500, one is right at .500, one above .500 and the only one that is undefeated, you are bashing on for being soft. So far, I would say the INSC is very average to start the season, not really a juggernaut.
