Combined thread this week:

Brownsburg @ Ben Davis:  Hard to imagine Brownsburg does not have a serious case of déjà vu heading into this one as they are sputtering a bit whereas the Giants are peaking.  Still not sold on them to hoist to the trophy later this month but I think they escape this one and exercise some demons.  Brownsburg 38-23.

Cathedral @ Lawrence North:  An exciting matchup on the northeast side as perennial power Cathedral takes on up and coming Lawrence North.  Rumor has it the Irish are healthy, which was not the case late in the regular season.  If they can control the clock with their run game and stay on schedule, this one could come down to the last second.  I still like LN.  Wildcats 31-27.

Fishers @ Hamilton Southeastern:  Hoping we see both of these squads at their best Friday night as when they are they can play with anyone.  That hasn’t been the case every week, however as both have some head scratching losses.  The Royals are slightly more consistent and are at home so I will take them here.  HSE 28-24.

Franklin Central @ Center Grove:  The Flashes had an up-and-down season and a key injury at the quarterback position late but here they are again.  This one was closer than expected a couple of years ago before CG stepped on the gas last year.  Moore’s team will be ready.  Close early but CG pulls away late.  CG wins 30-17.

Perry Meridian @ Warren Central:  The Warriors are looking at three straight home games to start the tournament and ever since the realignment it has become a one game season on the east side.  The regional against Center Grove next week makes or breaks each teams’ season.  Warren goes up early and then begins regional prep.  WC 41-13.

Zionsville @ Westfield:  Exciting finish for the Eagles last week and they will have the best player on the field once again this Friday night.  However, Westfield seems like a freight train that is heading downhill since the Brownsburg loss.  Shamrocks roll here.  38-14.

What say you?
