FarmerFran Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Week 1 is upon us! Who does everyone have? Quote
FinePrint Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Carroll at Caston Culver at Attica Cass at Pioneer North Judson at Knox North Miami at Northfield Triton at LaVille Wheeler at South Central Winamac at West Central Quote
First_Backer_Inside Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Carroll over Caston, Caston's scrimmage looked a lot better than what they looked like at the end of the summer, but I'm rolling with Carroll still. Culver and Attica, flip a coin Pioneer over Cass, watched both scrimmages, I think it will be close, I think Pioneer has the better depth and better players on the field. Knox over Judson, I really like Knox to represent the North for 3A this year. I think Judson is a really good 1A team this year, I don't think they will be good enough to beat Knox. North Miami over Northfield, Northfield looked better than I thought they would in their scrimmage. They got a good athletic QB running the option. North Miami is a very good team with a lot of guys back. Triton and Laville, pick the coin you flipped for the Culver game and flip it again. Wheeler over South Central, I don't know much about either team. Winamac over West Central, I don't know much about West Central. Winamac has a good QB. I'll give them the nod. Quote
littledog Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Carroll at Caston-hearing good things about Caston but Carroll remains consistent. 28-14 Culver at Attica- I expect Attica to be bad again. 35-0 Cavs Cass at Pioneer- Pioneer makes it 3 in a row against the kings. 42-20 Panthers North Judson at Knox- Judson is a long shot to win and understandably the underdog here to this mighty Knox team but I don't pick against the jays. 29-27 jays North Miami at Northfield- NM comes out ready to send a message to 1A. 42-7 NM Triton at LaVille- Laville comes out for revenge. 28-17 Lancers Wheeler at South Central- Wheeler by a few scores 35-13 Winamac at West Central- Winamac starts this year 2-0. 28-7 Quote
FinePrint Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 Caston at Pioneer - Blowout, even though Caston is better. North Judson at North Miami - Give me the Warriors at home. South Central at Triton - Blowout. Winamac at Culver - Close. Quote
littledog Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 (edited) Caston at Pioneer- Pioneer wins this by 4 scores. Caston looks to be coming up and had a great showing last week again NM but Pioneer seems to be back to old ways. Panthers 35-7 North Judson at North Miami- Game of the week! Judson still has several things to work on but are getting healthy. QB/FB mess is still a tad slow but both are young and making progress. North Miami essentially returns everyone from last years team. Think their experience keeps it close for a while but Judson pulls it out. 28-14 SC at Triton- Game is over early. SClooking like their only chances of wins are in week 8 or 9. 42-8 Winamac at Culver- Going into the year I thought Winamac would win this game easily but so far they've seen to backtrack. Just guessing here, Culver 20-19 Edited September 8, 2025 by littledog Quote

First_Backer_Inside Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 North Miami needs to clean up the QB and center exchanges. Ball on the ground way too much last week. Against good teams that will cost you, luckily they were able to overcome that last week. Quote
FarmerFran Posted September 8, 2025 Author Posted September 8, 2025 Caston at Pioneer- The next two weeks will be a good read to see where the panthers are. I see them beating the comets in a close game, similar to last years sectional. North Judson at North Miami- North Miami's lack of ball security and passing attack have me taking the reigning HNAC champs. SC at Triton- Trojans by what they want. Winamac at Culver- Flip a coin. Not impressed by Winamac and haven't seen Culver yet. Quote

TightEndOpenAgain Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 Pioneer over Caston easily. 7 NM fumbles (3 lost) kept the Comets in it. Was impressed with the physicality the boys in Fulton played with. Caston will be very solid in 2026! But Pioneer will roll this week. North Miami will have to play better/cleaner to have a shot this week. Trojans can pick the score Give me the Maxinkuckee Madmen over Winamac in a close one this week. No particular rhyme or reason why. Just a feeling down in the gut. Side note… Last North Miami home game (week 2) the farm ground to the north had a fresh layer of manure spread on it that day. Don’t foresee any in the forecast this week! 1 Quote
Prowlingpanther Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Caston at Pioneer- I think this will be a lot closer than some are thinking. Sectionals last year, they came out and shocked the Panthers, but fell 20-0. I could see it being close, but I can also see a blowout. Either way, Pioneer will take this one. 35-7 North Judson at North Miami - North Judson's first big conference challenge comes from North Miami. North Miami has had troubles with turnovers and had a close game with Caston recently. If they clear up the QB center exchange then I see no reason why they can't win it. North Judson's young squad will have a challenge, especially with Sancjez sitting out. Give me North Judson 14 North Miami 21. SCUM at Triton- This should not be close. Triton 56-0 Winamac at Culver- Culver has a solid player this year. But I don't think one player can win a game. I think with Winamac's Sophomore QB and their big HB/FB they will be too much for Culver. 21-7 Winamac. Quote

Think that'll do the trick. 1 Quote
FarmerFran Posted September 15, 2025 Author Posted September 15, 2025 Looks like 3 blowouts and Pioneer @ N. Miami being the HNAC game of the week. Who ya got? Quote
FinePrint Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Caston at South Central - Caston by a lot Culver at North Judson - Judson by an awful lot Pioneer at North Miami - Until NM learns how to throw the ball, they won't beat really good teams. Pioneer by 2 scores Winamac at Triton - Triton by 3 scores Quote

Pioneer by 2 scores Winamac at Triton - Triton by 3 scores i think the closest game this week is a win by 3 scores. The rest will likely be running clocks. Caston wins 42-6 NJ wins 40-0 Pioneer wins. The only potential good game. Pioneer seems to be back to being a well oiled machine. 35-14 Triton wins 36-6 Quote
FarmerFran Posted September 18, 2025 Author Posted September 18, 2025 Caston at South Central - Comets Culver at North Judson - Jays Pioneer at North Miami - Panthers pull off the homecoming upset at North Miami Winamac at Triton - Trojans Quote
TightEndOpenAgain Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 Comets comfortably Jays by a lot Trojans by a lot Really good game at North Miami last week. Unfortunate someone had to lose that one. Both teams tied exactly for total yards. Not sure I’ve ever seen that. A 65yd TD drive in under 2min by the Jays to tie it at 16 right before the half and a goal line stand with less than 2 minutes left were the difference. Hopefully another good one with Pioneer at North Miami on Friday Quote
FarmerFran Posted September 22, 2025 Author Posted September 22, 2025 Current standings halfway through the conference season. Looks like another three blowouts and a Triton/Judson game of the week. WHO YA GOT? Quote
FinePrint Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 I have to think Judson and Pioneer will play for the outright title in week 9. Triton will finish 1-3 and drop below NM in the final standings. Blowouts all the way around this week. Quote

Top 4 teams in the conference just seperate themselves way too much from the rest of the conference. From the outside looking in people often wonder why the teams haven't made the move but from all other sports the conference is mostly competitive across the board. I think Triton and NJ can end up being a close one. Judson's young guns are still figuring things out offensively but if they put it together I see them winning by a few scores. Quote

Comets over Cavs NM over Winamac Panthers over Satellites Jays over Trojans Realistically though, where would most of these teams go? Judson and Triton would be close enough to join the conference with Knox and Bremen, but the rest would logistically only really be close to the MWC and that conference is a trainwreck. You currently have West Central and Frontier running through it and they are probably middle of the pack HNAC teams. I cant see Judson or Triton wanting to go back to a conference with that much larger schools in it. Quote
