Rodney Posted June 12, 2020 Share Posted June 12, 2020 (edited) The mercy rule should be completely removed, I will never be behind the idea of cutting game night short for the kids who've worked hard to get there, they only get to play so many friday night games as is, and even after you sub starters, a jv team can benefit from extra time on the field. Some sort of 'understanding' that would allow JV/Freshman players participate if it is a blowout....with an extra quarter added to their eligibility. If its "over" at halftime and the leading school wants to put in lower class men, give them a free quarter to use. The clock is running anyway. It also is to the benefit of the trailing school.
