kingtut
Greene County Sports Network is still free at this point. One fair way to charge, if it could be worked out, is to charge a fee for viewers in the local area and allow it for free for viewers out of the area. They wouldn't be attending the game anyway. The Linton games have a lot of viewership from around the country. The live stream has been hurting attendance to some extent for years. I don't know how much. The school is aware of it but for the aforementioned out-of-town viewers, they have allowed it. That applies to all major sports at Linton. Schools are losing gate revenue so they are doing the PPV. For someone like you who has a family of 4 and pays $20 at the gate but $10 online you are saving money. For others that are a lone person who would be attending a game they would be losing money $10 vs $5. I get it though and don't complain. What I found to be a bigger issue was the news release I saw on Twitter from Mooresville. After their game against Danville was cancelled and they picked up Leo changing from a home game to an away. It stated that only one parent per player was allowed to attend the game. That was a little surprising. I figured they would give it for 2 parents. Thankfully for the Mooresville fans it says they made a deal with Leo to be able to stream the game with their broadcast team and it was on IHSAATV for free. I just can't imagine being the parents of a Senior and only 1 of you can go. The away team is at the mercy of the number of tickets that the home team gives them. And each school is at the mercy of their local health department and the size of the crowd they allow. One per player seems low. Schools and athletic departments do not like this, but we are playing a season and that is the most important thing.
Grover
CG Sports Network has been denied access to the game tomorrow night. Is that a Ben Davis call?

Grover
It was definitely BD's call. Are the MIC Network announcers and/or production team students? Edited September 12, 2020 by Grover

Thats the only way BD can beat the Trojans anymore. It wasnt Carmel, or Warren Central, or a Florida program or anyone else that CG used as a role mdel to build up its football program 20 years ago It was Ben Davis. Now, the Trojans have lapped the Giants and are looking for even further separation.
