Pantherfootball1957 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I think I’ve seen all I need to see boys, BNL wins the HHC by a long shot this year. I’d bet a couple cold ones on that 1 Quote

I know they smashed Jeffersonville but that’s not really a good barometer for knowing if LC is legit or not. LC was labeled a sleeper team in the Indy area going into the season. Quote

JV won in blowout fashion and our freshman team won 13-12. The program looks strong. I look for them to beat Whiteland next week and hopefully sweep the HHC again. Quote

FWIW, Whiteland lost to Columbus North by a score of 14-7, and North has just four starters back from last season, two starters each on offense and defense. So, FC should be a strong favorite to win that game. Quote

Fkfootball Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It’s hard to get a read on these teams right now TBH. Floyd Central has kind of had to re-invent themselves a little bit. They don’t have the passing game they had last year. Part of that is moving their #1 WR to QB. He did QB in 9th and 10th. But he’s more of a read option QB. Luke Jacobi had 181 yds rushing with 2 TDs and also a KO return TD. He’s a special kid and although he’s a SR, he’s the only Freshman to ever play varsity for Coach B. Defensively they seem fine. The QB from GS had 254 yds passing and 200 rushing. Seems like a special player and a guy that Gibson will ride all season. They did sack him 4 times and created a few turnovers. Very interested to see if their rush defense holds up next week because it’ll be fly sweep galore with Whiteland. I hate that gimmicky crap. It does work though. Quote

The point was they lost to another very young team and FC should be a heavy favorite. Yes, Whiteland was coming off a 9-3 season and also had just four starters back to include just one starter on defense. It was a game of two very young teams in which someone was going to come out on top. Edited 5 hours ago by ptr Quote

Whiteland also handled East in the scrimmage. Quote

It still won’t be easy. Honestly, last year, FC came out with the worst 1st qtr I’ve ever seen. First play of the game for Floyd Central, they throw a flare screen and it’s fumbled and they recover on the 20. Scored a TD. Whiteland kicks the ball off. Floyd Central fumbles it. Whiteland Scores again. FC goes 3 and out. Holds Whiteland to 3 and out. Whiteland punts the ball. Muffed punt. Recovered by Whiteland. Moral of the story. I think if FC can take care of the football Friday, they’ll get this one. Quote
