Boone Grove at Glenn - Will be interesting to see Baron year 2 for the Falcons

Concord at Elkhart - 2 Programs trying to take the next step. Should be a good one
Culver Academy at Adams - Can Adams right the ship? Don't think it starts this Friday
Bishop Noll at Clay - two of the worst programs in the state. Maybe Clay can get a win here during their swan song
Jimtown at NorthWood - I think it's going to be a show in Nappannee and the Jimmies aren't going to like it.
Lakeland at St. Joseph - STJ has to win this or they are in for a long season
LaVille at Bremen - Should be a good one
Marian at Mishawaka - Don't think Mishawaka will be as good this season. But Marian doesn't seem to have the horses anymore
New Prairie at LaPorte - NP easily. Think it's more Laporte being weak than anything else
Penn at Valparaiso - game of the week. Can Penn get back to being Penn
Riley at Attica - ????
Riley at West Side - ????
Washington at Hammond Central - HC should win this one

Ant updates on how the  Small School NIC divison went on Friday??   Curious as that is going to be a tight divison!!

From what I heard, Bremen was rough against Goshen, got pushed around, not very physical. Wore down and quick, depth and size will be an issue.

Boone Grove at Glenn- . Seems like everyone is anticipating a big year down in Walkerton. Can Grove stop Glenn's winged offense or will its win column be barren week 1?. Grove 17- Glenn 10
Jimtown at NorthWood-  Northwood starts the running clock in this one. Panther parents can hit the lake early this weekend. Panthers 48 Jimtown 7
Concord at Elkhart- Can Elkhart find its identity and dominate 6A in the North? Concord keeps it close early. Elkhart 28- Concord 7
Culver Academy at Adams- Two teams scheduling one another hoping for a Win. Adams posted a dismal 1-9 season with just over 100 points scored and 297 allowed. CMA was 2-8 with 129 points scored and 287 allowed. The Clay of the NIC North loses this one 24-10
Bishop Noll at Clay- save your admission fee and buy a scratch off ticket. Noll takes this one easy. 40-6

Lakeland at St. Joseph, Can Downey turn things around this season competing in the North? Big named RB Downey keeping quiet? STJ 34- Lakeland 14
LaVille at Bremen, Laville lost some talent to graduation and Bremen's RB decided not to come back out. Laville finds a way to win this battle of US6. Laville 21 Bremen 14
Marian at Mishawaka- Cavemen take out there cross town rivals 42-21
New Prairie at LaPorte- Cougars look to continue there success this year. While Laporte tries to find some consistency after its coaching controversy. Laporte gets sliced out of the win column 48-14
Penn at Valparaiso- Is the Yeoman era coming to an end? Will Penn open up their offense? Balis runs all over Valpo 34-0

Riley at West Side- Is the Hype real on the South Side? WS loses a 2k yard rusher. Riley loses a large part of its offensive production. This one might be close. Riley moon walks back to South Bend. 36-7
Washington at Hammond Central- Does Wash need a bus just for its coaches? HC air mails the Washington defense. 40-28

Penn is returning most of their defense from last year, and key parts of their offense this year...

34-0 is a bold prediction....But, I guess we will find out Friday.

Boone Grove at Glenn- . No Idea Grove 17- Glenn 10
Jimtown at NorthWood-  Northwood has the best pair of WR in the state if not the midwest.  Not fair.  42-0 at half . Panthers 49 Jimtown 0
Concord at Elkhart- Elkhart starts off a losing season with a close loss.  Elkhart may have the areas best defense and almost assuredly have the areas worst offense.  Its amazing how far their skill players have fallen and an entire new OL.  Over under is 10 sacks (ELK had 11 last year) and 5 TOs between the teams...and Im taking over.  Concord gets a pick 6 in the 1H and holds on.  Also not sure if Elk best offensive player (QB) will play. Elkhart 6- Concord 8
Culver Academy at Adams- Adams 17-13
Bishop Noll at Clay- Sad to see Clay in this state.  42-0 Noll roll

Lakeland at St. Joseph, Downey begins the ST Joe climb STJ 27- Lakeland 10
LaVille at Bremen, Bremen 21-14
Marian at Mishawaka- Cavemen roll.  They are going to be tough to stop this year with the Norths best all around QB.  Mish 49-20
New Prairie at LaPorte- Cougars will become NICs 2nd best team clearly overtaking Elk.  QB runs wild and this one is over at half.  47-6 NP
Penn at Valparaiso- Penn overachieved their talent level last year.  Elk had to coach themselves out of routing Penn.  Not this year, and likely not anytime soon.  Kids are now all grown up and Penn's best team in years puts it on 5a favorite Valpo.  Penn 42-27.  QB/RB combo is too much.

Riley at West Side- Riley wins a close one 22-20
Washington at Hammond Central- Biggest route in the state.  HC QB is real deal.  63-0 HC

Can't wait to see how mighty Elkhart does this year...

The running back is good....but not good enough.

Laporte beats NP 20-18 on a last second field goal. I honestly don't know how that field goal DIDN'T get blocked. A VERY entertaining football game the entire way. NP with too many mistakes and Laporte made big play after big play and mistake free football the entire night. Kudos to LP, they are a much better team than I thought they would have. They will have a solid season. LP made 2 catches on 4th downs the keep the game alive on the final drive that were pretty unbelievable.

I picked Elk to lose to Concord.  Not mighty at all.  Penn will beat them 56-0 this year.  3-6 is my prediction for the year.  Don't think they beat anyone other than Adams, St joe and one of Hammond Morton or Marian.  Could be even less.  It took our new coach 1 year to go 7-3 against the easiest schedule in 6a, with the best players Elk has had in 30 years (last season) and now has ruined a once rising program.  The defense is very good but the offense is beyond abysmal.

How has he ruined the program?
