I knew they were good but damn.

Very good. You could combine Reitz, Jasper and Memorial and maybe it's close.

Congrats to EC. Safe travels home. Enjoy the back to back 4A state titles. Fun team to watch.

Wow. Takes a special team to come into Enlow and win in that fashion. Congrats to EC. And congrats to Memorial on winning the sectional in a “rebuilding” year.

Congrats to the Tigers on a good season and their 2023 sectional title.

bAd bOyZ back home next week looking for another semi against a very good Dragon squad.  One more and it's back to the oil can.

This East Central team is special.. Ringer, Brotherton, Burton, Maxwell is a hard 4 to stop. I also think the defense doesn't get nearly enough attention.

That defense is tough, takes a lot of skill holding teams below 150+ yards per game and allowing roughly 6 PPG

EC will be rebuilding next season, so assuming they move to 5A.....they will likely take some lumps in the post season.

Or reloading :)….  Obviously you aren’t replacing two D1 players aka “cheat codes”. Trojan Nation should be more alarmed at the coaching staff potential losses and weak schedule.    The cupboard for talent isn’t as bare as many would think.  5A also isn’t a death warrant either.  If you go back to the 90s and early 2000s you’ll see quite a few teams which used to be in 4A now in 5A (Columbus East, Seymour, BN, Floyd Central).  And with Chatard back in 4A and Dwenger (they are down this year) 4A may be a meat grinder much more than 5A.

The schedule will always be weaker than others as long as EC remains in the EIAC. I think they do a pretty good job with trying to beef up the non conference.
